She is going to be interviewed by the police this week and they will determine that she is lying.

Article didn't indicate if the gun was pointed at her from outside the vehicle or if the guy got in the vehicle

There is something odd about this story. Why did she wait to report it and what about the person that picked her up? Didn't they know it happened? hmmmmmm They really did not give much info in the article.

Definitely something fishy with the story.

First thing I'd do is call 911 if someone just raped me at gunpoint. I understand trauma, etc blah blah but when I just experienced something traumatic the first thing I think of is calling for professional help of some sort.... police, medical personnel.

Does this story smell fishy or what! Why not call 911 while the phone is still in your hand...duh!

Where was her friend that she helped move?

Its not uncommon for women not to report a rape right away, but there is something a little "not right" about this story; She thought the weather was too bad to be driving in, so she calls someone to drive to come & get her vs just staying right there at her friend's place?

Yes, I realize that, A** but alot more comes into play, for instance, what window was he at, what position was the car in, was it still in drive, shut off......

I agree completely that all rapes are not reported or reported right away. That part would not surprise me at all. It's the part about the friend that came to get her. No mention if they thought or knew that something happened. Were they with her when she reported it? And the head line, Police woman raped near Portage. If she was a police woman, wouldn't you think she would handle it different? Of is this another case of lack of editing from WOOD?

It says Police: Woman Raped Near Portage Apt. not Policewoman Raped Near Portage Apt. but I agree that WOOD ought to do better than that with their titles.

I also agree that something doesn't ring true about this woman's story.

Sad, isn't it? I hate to question such a horrific experience, but with all the false reports....its just sad
