OMG, why don't we Southerners (" I'm a native Texan ) be kind to Yankees and maybe just a little of our charm and hospitality will rub off on them. It sure won't hurt to try.

LOL, I have lived all over the country and people are pretty much the same where ever you go, we all have our regional quirks though.
Most "yankees" here blend in well but every once in awhile they will jump up on the soapbox to espouse some negative about Southern society. It is rather easy to return them to ground level by speaking truths about the place from whence they came and why they are no longer residing there.
