Carter: Super-speeder only a start
Significant events have a way of remaining with us throughout our lives. Almost all of us can remember where we were and what we were doing on 9/11 when we heard that America had been attacked by terrorists.Full Story

I live in a pedestrian community where everything is a short walk away. No public transportation except taxis but sidewalks go every direction for two miles. Its about a five mile taxi ride to the nearest bus stop that connects with Marta. I have recently considered whether or not to go carless, for the rest of my life. By selling both cars and canceling car insurance I could raise several thousand dollars in cash and save $400 a month in auto expenses including gas and car maintenance.$400 a month would easily pay for an occasional taxi ride for trips out of this pedestrian community. Georgia can make all the traffic fines they want to and increase tag fees and gas taxes. I'm considering immunity from all of these and auto costs altogether.

Since obama is going to wreck the auto industry we should all quit driving and wait for obama to deliver on all of that mass transit he promised during the election.
