People earning more money tend not to commit any crimes. As far as the taxes I'm talking about the County taxes. They were raised once, during Suozzi's first year in office due to the utter disaster the county's financial shape was in after years of Gullota. Suozzi even campaigned that he would have to raise taxes in his first year and won by a 2-1 margin. The county taxes have not been raised since. As far as crime, ahh half of the crimes aren't reported. Nice baseless accusation there. That doesn't change the fact that crime is lower under Suozzi. It doesn't change the fact that you flat out lied about crime, it doesn't change the fact that crime is at 43 year lows

Our police overtime bill is through the roof, I hav,nt been affected by crime my entire life, except under Suozzi. I don't even know what crimes are included, is DWI included, if not it should be if they treat it as a major crime. We'll see when everything is added up... Severe county workforce cuts are absolutely a must. Hope you agree with that request .

Also a large portion of our economy is the Eatery business and this is disasterous with extremely high fuel cost... Real Problems ahead.

I think all the naysayers should take a TOUR of Long Island.....There is some great sculpture to see.....
Touring Nassau or Long Island has NOTHING to do with politics.
If you are too shallow to notice the beauty around you...you wouldn't notice any where that you were.....
The places that we live have more to do with the people that inhabit them, than the government that oversees it. ---------- The places that we live are what WE make them.
Maybe you ALL should try learning how to take responsibility for what you do & how you live.
Notice........notice how great this area is. Stop trashing it.....it does NO ONE any good. And it makes YOU look really stupid.
GREAT things happen when people respect themselves and their environment.
Beauty is everywhere.....here's an example: ---------- Harborfields Public Library hosts a great outdoor/indoor sculpture exhibit every year.
The Long Island Professional Sculptors & Supporters (LIPSS.net) will exhibit their three-dimensional sculptures in the Library Gallery. In addition to the sculptures in the gallery, many of the artists will install works outdoors on the Library property, and those will remain on loan throughout the summer.

My kind of women, likes to walk around naked all day, just like the cave man days. I've been living here 50 years and the politicions have their hands in everything you do here. I love freedom, especially your kind.

Again I have to say. I'm selling my house and leaving this junky, corrupt govt. And I hope it collapses in one big pile of ****. Many, many people have had enough of this garbage. And we are not going to support this govt. I don't watch the news. Or believe anything they say. Am not connected in any way at all with it.

The county is not running a deficit, the county has had 10 bond upgrades under Suozzi, and the financial shape of the county has been turned around dramatically under Suozzi. As far as crime, all crime is considered and crime continues to drop under Suozzi and posted 43 year lows last year, across the board. So stop lying about crime.

First off the county started its financial turnaround during thee recession in 02-03. No one is sating things will be easy, but the county is in MUCH better financial shape than it was under gullotta, and much better prepared to deal with a situation like this. Hell under Gullotta, we were headed towards being broke during excellent economic times. As far as school taxes, agree that is a problem, but school ttaxes has absolutely nothing to do with the county government.

Boy do I hate to make a point, but Long Island is getting older, people are leaving, also it's a higher per capita income area... Children have more when their younger, so I feel crime is too high based on those facts.I live in an upscale neighborhood and people are dropping like Fly's as in leaving, more-so in the last 2 years. Im not a Democrat but I respect Levy, he has the Ed Koch attitude... I would like to see an overhaul of the entire County work-force based on the tough times ahead. If citizens are tightening their belts, and their employers, then so should the County. Good talking to you...

As far as LI being a higher income area, that is true, but it has always been the case, and crime is lower now than in the past. I do agree we may face some tough times ahead, the economy is pretty poor, however we are in much better shape now than we were 6 and a half years ago when Suozzi took over. We are in a much better position to deal with the current times with people who put us in good financial shape during another recession than we would be with people who put us into a huge mess during a massive economic boom (Gullotta in the late 90's)

Yet another way to show this idea is a good one. Tom Gullotta's lapdog Peter Schmitt (if he got his way we would have had our county finances taken over by the state by now) is complaining about this idea. Great way to tell a plan is good or not, if Peter schmitt is opposed its a good plan.

Great way to tell a plan is good or not, if Peter schmitt is opposed its a good plan. Tim, I never liked the Bums from the past either, I was on the road alot and all I saw was somrone standing around or thousands of ugly shubs going up then drying out on the side of the road. Some cruel things going on with money back then, and I was critical. I don't care for Schmitt, I see him with his driver alot...I can't like Suozzi because I have confidence in people who make mistakes , to correct themselves if they did'nt cause harm to someone, he's demoning them... I feel alot of thse people are an important part of our economic survival, and the'll be turned off from doing good for the County. As far as tourisum, were not set up for that in this County, plent of Beach , no Hotels in Nassau... We seem to have an ongoing pollution problem and a depletion in fishing... That dose'nt fair well on an Island. I hate to be negative , but these people were in some form of office with these problems before them, so they undoubtibly were aware. I guess what we have been discussing proves that politics is not a Team sport anymore, that,s one of the missing links of today... Thank You, Sir...
