I agree - she is only able to think about her own situation. Responsible cat owners have their pets spay/nuetered to prevent just what her examples state.

Most cat owners make me want to puke!
For starters, stop being so damn lazy!! Do you think it is ok to allow your animal to freely roam the neighborhood and leave their crap in the yards of everyone else but you? GET A LITTER BOX YOU SELF CENTERED PIECE OF CRAP! We can tell you have cats. Nobody but a cat owner would leave there garage door open 6” above the concrete so their precious little fur balls can sneak in and out inconspicuously! You allow your pets to go dirty up the neighborhood, and come home whenever they feel like it... You know who you are!
I have been violated many times while moving my trash cans out to the curb, only to step on some gravel that was pushed over a pile of fresh cat shit. Oh, you say they cover it up? Come take a look at our yards...I have had to clean my shoes of all the rocks and shit, which smells REALLY bad. I wish I knew who the cat belonged to because I would come to your house and clean my shoes on your door handle. Why should I have ALL the fun?
We have leash laws for dogs, so why are cats be free to roam? I know it would be rediculous to think that cats can be leashed, so KEEP THEM INDOORS, OR DON'T OWN ONE!!!
Dog owners are required “BY LAW” to keep their pet on a leash and bring a bag to pick up crap when they walk. How would you like it if someone with a Great Dane, or a Horse walked by your house and allowed it to shit on your yard every day and never clean it up?! Tell me how this is fair to anyone but cat owners?
Awe and then if your little shit machine does not come home, you post pictures all around, of your poor lost kitty-cat, probably killed because it ran out in the street and got hit by a car, fell asleep and get stuck in an engine compartment and got torn to shreds when the owner (unknowingly) started the car, eaten by a coyote or maybe killed by a pissed off neighbor with shit on his/her shoe! Keep them inside and you lower your risk of losing them, DUH!!
I have had at least 7 cats in my lifetime, I don't have one now, but as a youngster I had 2 that were killed because they were outside cats, one was killed on the road in front of my house by a car and I (at 10 years old) was the one that found the carcass, the other cat ate a bird choked on it, and it died vomiting in my bedroom at night.
I love all animals, I am not a cat hater; I am a hater of cat owners that are too F---ing LAZY to clean up after their own animals, and who expect others to clean up after them instead!!!

Having read some of the comments and responses here leads me to offer a new product. www.PurrfectFence.com is a virtually invisible fencing system that has been tested on over ten thousand cats, including ferral and sheltered cats. Please feel free to contact me for brochures or informational packets.

I for one don't want to pay higher taxes to try to enforce some stupid leash law for cats. Which, yes, that law cost tax payers money. The government uses leash laws to generate cash. They also penalize people for feeding ferral cat colonies-- so people can be fined for the stray cats that they capture, spay and release-- all because they are not leashed and you happen to feed them.

Anytime in history that there has been an attempt to leash cats or kill them off in mass numbers, there has also been an epidemic of vermon on humans.

The thought that a housecat has more of an impact on wildlife than humans building sub-division that destroy wild habitat is absurd.

I have had indoor-outdoor cats that have lived to be in their 20's. They have all been spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Meanwhile, my neighbor has an indoor cat that is 10 and it is missing teeth and looks unhealthy. The one year I didnt have cats (due to a house fire I had to leave and take the cats with until the house was rebuilt) was the year there was a rabbit explosion that destroyed alot of my neighbors gardens, they were happy when the cats came back.

All you cat- leash law people need a grip. With all the world's problems you chose leashing cats as your calling? The reason dogs are on leashes is because they bite people.

One more comment, people like Susan remind me of why the saying is "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"

You say that we would have to pay more taxes, but WE as the home owners who have to keep picking up the crap from YOUR cats, already pay.. Because WE clean up what you are obviously too danm LAZY to pick up yourself. If you all would keep them indoors, there would be nor reason to have a law, therefore no need to tax people. I would be willing to pay for a hunting license if they would allow me to shoot your cats in my front yard!! That's how much I hate the mess that your pets leave in our yards!. I know it's not the cats' fault, it's your fault, but how else can we get the messege to you. You obviously don't care. It's RUDE, is't DIRTY, it's UNHEALTY, and it's because of people like you that don't care about what happens in other people's yards. As long as you don't see it or have to pick it up, its's out of site-out of mind.
Oh, and by the way there are ways to keep rabits out of gardens without your cat crapping all over other peoples' yards. Tell your neighbors to buy rabit fence.

Ferrel cats hunting for food are not the problem . Cats and humans are the only animals that kill for pleasure. They dont kill for food or any other natural reason they kill for the fun of it.

Cats should not have a leash law! If anything they are a help when outside. Mine keep away rats and mice!! As long as they are spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines...let them be!!!!!!!!!!

If you can read, dipshit you would know that I have had several cats, and I don't hate the naimals; I hate lazy-assed cat owners like you who would rather have somebody else pick up after your animal. Gosh! Some people are so dense! I know tons of people with horses, and large dogs... maybe I should bring them by your house so they can crap in your yard!!

Oh and if you have rats and mice, you should consider cleaning up around your house and you would't need a friggin cat!
By the way, it was reported this morning that a cat "somehow" got stuck in the fanbelt of a car ssomewhere near your state... this happens frequently where they are left outside in cold climates... They cuddle by the warm engine until someone starts it up then WHOOPS!!! Kitty Litter!! Who's to blame? The Cat Owner!!! KEEP IT INSIDE AND IT WON"T GET KILLED!!!!

Earlier you said you were not a cat hater, someone who would like to shoot any cat that comes in your yard sounds like a hater to me and probably should see a mental health doctor. FYI Serial killers have all been found to have tormented cats/animals before killing humans. Also are you educated because you sure can"t spell.

Having been attacked (bitten, scratched, and pee'ed on) by a stray cat I say keep them indoors or on a leash. They are dangerous, unpredictable animals. At least a dog will warn you before it bites.

I can spell, I just hit keys that I don't mean to hit when I try to type fast. At least I am willing to admit when I do something wrong. Unlike the lazy cat owners that chose not to clean up after their animals, instead they "assume" that kitty is crapping somewhere that nobody can see, and it's "all good!" NOT!. They feel as long as it's not in their yard, or litter boxes that they might have to clean, then they don’t have to pick it up.
Obviously you can't read, because I mentioned earlier that I'm not a hater, I have had several cats myself, and I too lost a couple because they were outside cats, and I don't know of any other way to get the point across to the cat owners than to just keep eliminating their cats until they get the message.(Hmm, kitty never comes home, maybe I should keep him in the house!) If you can think of a way to make it punishable by law to let cats roam the community, please let me know.
You can have the cleanest cat on the planet and their fecal matter and urine still has the ability to cause harm to children. Cats do their business in sand boxes in parks and playgrounds, not to mention back yards. They OBVIOUSLY know how to use litter boxes, so get one, use it, and be responsible

pretty sad that this is the big thing that they worry about, somebody's cats. I am lucky, live near a large college, and the neighbors are more easy going. would hate to have neighbors like some of these people. pretty anti social types.
