It astounds me that Christians ignore what God's word teaches about sexual immorality. God does not call it a small thing or winks at it or ignores it. This is not an isolated circumstance. How does his church know he does not struggle with a sexual addiction?
It seems that as soon as someone addresses sin that person is said to be judging or casting a stone. Whatever happened to speaking the truth or holding someone accountable. Our sin effects the Body of Christ and always will bring shame to the name of Christ. Let's not fool ourselves. Ron as the pastor of his church needs to step down and allow himself to be held accountable for his actions and get outside counseling.

There is grace and forgiveness but there is also a time to deal with the root of sin.

I have known this man for over 13 years. He has done so much for the community and for the individuals living here. I remember once that I told him about a fellow employee of mine that couldn't pay her electric bill, and he immediately said, "Where is she?" He then instructed her to give him the bill, and just like that, he and the church took care of it. No questions asked, expecting nothing in return. He is a human being, and as such makes mistakes. Do not let this one transgression make you forget all of the wonderful things that he has done in the past. He who is without sin, cast the first stone!

I have gone to the church for 2 years and have recently quit going before all of this because there are other things that have gone on in the church that i believe needed to be addressed but was pushed to the side instead! I cant believe pastor Ron would do this but all the info is here to say he did... videos; police report; and news articles... when ur a leader of a church ur to be like Christ and set an example; and ur set to a higher standard in the eyes of God. I believe Ron will be forgiven but he wont go without suffering the consequences of sin.

Are you serious? So it's okay to commit a crime as long as your good deeds out way the bad ones?

I WONDER ABOUT OUR SHERIFF, KEN MASCARA, WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS SITUATION. RON MCCASKILL IS A CHAPLAIN FOR THE ST LUCIE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF MR MASCARA IS KEEPING MCCASKILL ON HIS STAFF BECAUSE IF HE DOES IT WOULD BE IMMORAL AND ALSO I THINK IT WOULD MEAN HE CONDONES WHAT MCCASKILL DID. HOW ABOUT IT SHERIFF? ARE YOU GOING TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE OR WHAT?

I am a member of Pastor Ron's church but occasionally visit a new ministry which started in PSL with a friend. This ministry started two months ago and I'm loving it. The pastor is down to earth but knows the Word. I encourage you all to check them out. The name of the ministry is "The Family Life Worship Center" and they are located in the Parks and Recreational Facility across from PSL City Hall on Airoso Boulevard. They meet in Room F every Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. I still attent New Life but enjoy the ministry and Word taught at The Family Life. I encourage you to check them out you won't regret it.

i've known pastor ron and been a member of his church for over 20 yrs. there is no argument against him being a good man at heart and doing good things that most people would never do given the same resources. hes extremely charismatic and its very easy to love this man. he has genuine intentions and i believe he has always had the best interest of his church at heart.

is he obviously struggling with his own personal demons? that would be an understatement. for you, i, or anyone else to act like we dont struggle with our own shortcomings, no matter how big or small, is naive and at the very least ignorant.

pastor ron needs to take some time and do some serious self evaluations and get the attention he needs to overcome these obstacles hes created for himself. and theres nothing wrong with that. we all need help from time to time no matter how powerful or significant our position in society may be. should he be forgiven for this? of course. should he go without suffering whatever consequences may follow? not at all.

christians aren't perfect, just forgiven. as cliche as it is, its true. it doesn't justify or excuse what hes done. at the end of the day he still is just another person that has to deal with whatever problems he has. i'm not angry or mad about this. more than anything i'm sad. mostly for the kids that will have to try to understand what happened to "pastor ron". its an unfortunate event because it will affect so many people. hopefully the majority can look in the mirror and remember that they, too, fall short of the glory of god.

I know Ron personally and hope he and his family get this thing taken care of. I am no longer living in the state of FL and don't have any real connections to the church any longer, but would like to know if Ron is still pastor and if not, who is going to fill in.

last i heard the board insisted that he step down and he has. there are several pastors as i'm sure you know and hopefully one of them will be able to succesfully carry the church through this. NLCC is not ron's....its the people's. its the people that have invested a lot of time, energy, and money into making that church what it is today and carrying it from its very infancy. the people deserve to watch that church stand strong through this trial.

These comments do not reflect the whole truth! Ron McCaskill has committed sexual misconduct many times in the past. This is the first time he's been arrested. He confessed to sexual misconduct in the first church he served in Brooksville, Fla.(an Assemblies of God church.) He was then moved to Calvary Assembly of God Church in Port St. Lucie, where he again confessed to sexual misconduct (after he was caught) with a church secretary and several women he was conseling there. He was offered extensive counseling but he refused. He was stripped of his Assembly of God credentials and then he returned to PSL to start this church, his church -- which has no denomination affiliation -- and the only ruling order has been set in place by him. His assistant pastors are aware of his part and some of them are his relatives. This church is a very lucrative business. If there are any Earthly consequences for Ron, they will be minimal. He shows no humility at all -- never has -- and his wife, Linda, and his three daughters continue to support him thru these numerous "indiscretions."
What this proves is that this church "claims" to be Christian -- but any type of sexual activity in permitted and encouraged. Cheat on your spouse. No problem. Divorces are OK. Even prostitution is not frowned upon. Fellow pastors there condone this behavior and youth being trained in this church's Firehouse ministry are taught this kind of behavior is fine. Become a pastor, you can do anything you want. New Life Christian Center is not only a travesty - it is also a tragedy.
Ron has done some good in this world, but his wrongdoing has negated all the good. He is aware of his addiction and has chosen to ignore it. He now expects everyone else to as well.
May God have mercy on your soul!

"I'VE KNOWN HIM FOR YEARS AND THIS ALL A BUNCH OF LIES!!! THE POPO ARE JUST PICKING ON HIM!!! HE AIN'T DONE NUTIN WRONG!! ALL YOU PEOPLE NEED TO STOP! YOU DON'T KNOW THE REAL HIM!!! JESUS HAS COME BACK IN THE FORM OF RON MCCASKILL"

Actually, Ron McCaskill probably is a criminal, I just find it funny how many people make fools of themselves like that.

Sins aside, how about obeying the law? When you break them you become a criminal in the here and now.
