These comments do not reflect the whole truth! Ron McCaskill has committed sexual misconduct many times in the past. This is the first time he's been arrested. He confessed to sexual misconduct in the first church he served in Brooksville, Fla.(an Assemblies of God church.) He was then moved to Calvary Assembly of God Church in Port St. Lucie, where he again confessed to sexual misconduct (after he was caught) with a church secretary and several women he was conseling there. He was offered extensive counseling but he refused. He was stripped of his Assembly of God credentials and then he returned to PSL to start this church, his church -- which has no denomination affiliation -- and the only ruling order has been set in place by him. His assistant pastors are aware of his part and some of them are his relatives. This church is a very lucrative business. If there are any Earthly consequences for Ron, they will be minimal. He shows no humility at all -- never has -- and his wife, Linda, and his three daughters continue to support him thru these numerous "indiscretions."
What this proves is that this church "claims" to be Christian -- but any type of sexual activity in permitted and encouraged. Cheat on your spouse. No problem. Divorces are OK. Even prostitution is not frowned upon. Fellow pastors there condone this behavior and youth being trained in this church's Firehouse ministry are taught this kind of behavior is fine. Become a pastor, you can do anything you want. New Life Christian Center is not only a travesty - it is also a tragedy.
Ron has done some good in this world, but his wrongdoing has negated all the good. He is aware of his addiction and has chosen to ignore it. He now expects everyone else to as well.
May God have mercy on your soul!
Former First Lady and presidential canidate Hillary Clinton set the example about looking the other way when your husband is caught cheating. Sadly, money and the status quo are more important to some than morals.

He then instructed her to give him the bill, and just like that, he and the church took care of it. No questions asked, expecting nothing in return. He is a human being, and as such makes mistakes. I am not without sin however I have known this same pastor for over 20 years. He originally lost his position as pastor of Calvary Assembly on Walton road in PSL many years ago for an affair he had with his secretary. I believe in forgivness and after he returned to PSL I was one of the first members to NEw Life when we met at the marina. I also help start the preschool after the building was finally built. At that time we were given a 35.00 dollar discount per week for childcare. I work for many months with no pay before the school even opened. Then when I was pregnant with my 3rd child I broke my leg had no one but, the preschool to watch my 2 youngest children. Even though I was a teacher there they refused to let my children attend for free just for a couple of weeks until I delivered. The reason being I owed tuition from when I fell. I had 3 surgeries in a week to repair my leg and this put my unborn baby in danger. It took the hospital social worker to force them to offer me help and in turn they couldn't believe this was a christian school or a pastor of a church. I called many times as well as my husband and sent many letters. We tithed faithfully. After this.......I never returned because I saw another side. My heart and prayers go out to this family. He has wonderful daughters and grandchildren. It is ashame that he doesn't practice what he preaches.

So your suggesting that we should not treat people equally under the law? That you can earn a get out of jail free card? Ok, so payign someones electric bill entitles him to break the law concerning prostiution. How many "good deed" must you do get get a pass on, say, murder or rape?

Another thing. I doubt this was "one transgression" but rather just the first time he was caught. You followers should not cast your pearls before this sort of swine. Your tolerance of this behavior in your church leaders is what emboldens and enable them to commit these vile atrocities that soil the name of religion.

Your comment is very questionable since I was there also before and there while the preschool was being built and very involved in it. Funny I don't remember you at all. I certainly would have!

Wow. I am deeply saddened and shocked. I will be praying for Strength, Wisdom, and Peace for Linda, Tracy, Jodie, Melanie. But I will ALSO be praying for Pastor Ron. His actions and deceit are inexcusable, and he must endure the consequences; however, Forgiven, he must be. He will need to ask God (and listen to) what he is to learn from this, how to recieve help, and how he must teach from this horrible situation. No one is above the law and unfortunately he did not honor his committments. Peace and love to the McCaskill Family.

Not that it will matter, but Ron pleaded not guilty and the charges were dropped. He was advised by counsel to sue all that were involved but decided the church has already suffered enough, and it wouldn't matter anyway. People make up their minds and thats that.
Guess the whole charges being dropped isn't a story. Mind you he did not plea No Contest.
Trust me I am not making any excuses for the man, it just amazes me how Christians have no problem in the character assassination of another as if their character is flawless.
Want to know why God uses imperfect men? So, the worshiper won't be confused by who's the one that should be worshiped.
Everyone makes DUMB choices and has to suffer the repercussions. But Christians are...strike that..Followers of Christ must respond differently. It is our love for one another that separates us from those that don't believe. We claim we love you brother, we love you sister but do we?
Do we love like Christ loved the church? No we don't!
Here's what Christ said to the very men that nailed him to the cross: Forgive them for they know not what they do! We don't know that kind of love, Unconditional love is so simple it's complicated for us.
So, what's that mean for Ron. Who knows!! Good thing Christ still loves him and is able to restore his soul. As for people, well we know how that story ends.
I hope that one day people will forgive! We all could use that from time to time. More than that, i really wish people would stop calling themselves Christians and start acting like one.
Oh, yeah one more thing here's the proof that this won't matter: cfree brought out all the dirt from the past to make certain this man would forever feel the pain of his mistakes! Which happened 18 years ago! Guess what, still won't matter.
Oh, and if your thinking I'm Ron. Think again, he barely knows how to retrieve an e-mail.

"Want to know why God uses imperfect men? So, the worshiper won't be confused by who's the one that should be worshiped".

I love that quote! I will sign my e-mails with that!!!
Thanks you for that post. "Ditto"!!!!!!

I too was a former member of this church and no longer am. I know that Ron only has to answer to God. Only the two of them know the truth. I have went back and just did not feel the same. I have no adverse feels towards him one way to another. I don't know. I am thankful I am not in his position facing all the words of his fellow bothers in Christ. He does not have to be sentence by the court his own Christian brothers have tried and convicted him.
Anyone who has read the bible knows that most the people Jesus used were liars, cons and even murders. You can not teach someone something you have no knowledge of. I am in no way saying if he did do something inappropriate it is okay. I am saying he doesn't answer to me. He answers to God and if I do not feel he is an appropriate leader to guide me I go somewhere else.
We all have made "STUPID MASTAKES AND CHOICES". Thank God he is the judge and not our fellow "Christians".

I am new to PSL and visited many churches, I could not find this one for some reason. But I did find the Grace Place on Solerno in Stuart. It is a wonderful church and I have been going there for over 1 year. Check it out if you are interested in a new church. I am not passing judgement or soliciting for new members I just want to let people know about it.

cfree06 IS WRONG!!!!
The Pastors did not teach this to the kids at the Firehouse. I know this because every wensday night I was there. I also attended the church on sunday mornings to, never did they teach or condom that kind of behavoir. I just want to get that straight. I was a member of this chruch since 94 through 2004 and I loved it. This chruch is a big part of my childhood memoires, I would go any place to hear Pastor Ron preach the word again.
No matter what he's done, he does not let it interfere with the chruch preachings.
I forgive him, and I hope he gets the help he needs. Lets all keep him and his family in our prayers.

Organized religion is a "JOB" except it is tax exempt. Religion is a very lucrative business and for some it is a sport to see how many people can "give it all" in the name of God so the preacher, father, brother. doctor or whatever they call themselves (self appointed titles) can buy a new mercedes or a new million dollar home in a gated community. It is sad to think that religion has come to this. I personally know a very famous preacher and his family and I know all too well how mighty they live and laugh about some of the things that people have put in the offering plates only to find it on well lets say one of thier very own fingers or wrists. I do not believe in organized religion after associating with these people anymore. Funny, they really never worked and their church was closed they traveled so much and believe me they lived high on the hog as one might say. Money was nothing for them. One weekend I was invited to go with them on their personal lier jet to Canada because the girls wanted to buy new fur coats and that was the best place to get them. Of course I was not able to go and I regret it to this day because I can barely afford a ticket on a plane much less get invited to go on a lier jet. lavish lifestyles until they got busted by the IRS and for the most part got wiped out. They still have the majority of their homes and cars though. It makes me sick at my stomach to know that people gave them their hard earned money and they acted like it was NOTHING to them.... all for God ...I actually had a conversation with one of them about my feelings towards their lifestyle and the reply was GOD wants me to have these things and I have certain needs that he is trying to fullfill while I spread the word of the Lord. And they actually thought I believed their bullshit

I am shocked at the number of replies that concern actually defending this man {and I use that term man loosely} what kind of "man" hires so scummy dirty filthy prositute and then carries whatever diseases she has home to his wife and family?? Thats a man? no that is a pond-scum!!

How many of you would invite this man over to your house and to use your bathroom KNOWING he patronizes street-hookers who the majority of have AIDS and every other VD know to man? Would you want him using your bathroom? I sure wouldnt!

And he calls himself a man of GOD?? no man of God does this and hides behind the church to justify it! He has slapped everyone of his follower's in the face with his actions, Believe me our Lord does NOT condone adultry and risking lives.

If I were his wife I would throw everything he owns outside the door and get a good divorce attorney, and then get tested for AIDS, since he messed with filthy infected hookers and strippers who we all know carry horrible nasty diseases, I pray this woman was not infected by this piece of trash husband of her's. He risked his wife's life and health for some dirty diseased street-tramp!

I hope his wife has left him to his blame and shame, anyone who defends him let me ask you "would you put up with this if it were YOUR husband? son? wife? or loved one? He exposed his wife to nasty diseases and shame and humilation, I just pray she has left him and she is HIV-negative. I hope God forgives him someday, but we do NOT! he made a choice, and God would not want him to infect innocent people with disease, he is a cheater and I pray his wife escapes with her safety and life. Anyone who lays down with AIDS infected hookers or strippers is a stupid brain-dead selfish pathetic hardup desperate loser! Thank God most men have more sense than this one, only slime would risk innocent lives on garbage.

i know plenty of divore lawyers that would take this bum to the cleaners.. he potentially could of infected his wife with a host of any fatal disease these pig prostitutes carry and he did not care or think of her, if she has any self-respect or dignity she will leave the dirty bum he thinks nothing of her or the marriage OR his congregation only of himself and his perverted lust for dirty aids prostitutes. anyone who would stay married to this sleazebag or be a member of his church is crazy..he cares nothing about anyone but himself..what kind of scum exposes his wife and children to aids? he is not a man of God!
