Old salt works cabins

United States

#1 Sep 23, 2011
Just finished a stay there. I had stayed there twice years ago and was very happy there, however, this was one of the most filthy uncared for places I have ever stayed at. There was extensive black mold on the ceilings and ac ducts, roaches, broken furniture. Upon check in a note was left at the office that the cabin was open and the key was in the door. We had tried to complain, no one ever at the office for the 8days we stayed there. There is a cell phone number to call which went unanswered. We never did see an employee or owner during our entire stay. The bed was so hard that we slept on the dirty couch and loveseat. We had our dog(153lb Great White Pyranees) so leaving and finding another pet friendly cabin was not possible. The carpeting was filthy and the seam which ran across the living room and bedroom doorway was held together by silver duct tape. The screens on the porch had ripps in them, so going out to sit out there in the evening was not possible. Please do not give these shady business people any business and ruin your vacation like our was
