There are 5 comments on the The Star story from Aug 2, 2012, titled Thanks to Yeager. In it, The Star reports that:

Neither of us has ever publicly endorsed or written on behalf of a politician, however, we feel so strongly about Commissioner Warren Yeager and his accomplishments, that now is the time! We have met and worked with many politicians in our lifetime, however, we have never met one with more passion and commitment to his constituents than Warren ... (more)

What a Croc ...

There is a giant crocodile threatening to chomp down hard on Gulf County. Two giant crocodile tears of this beast were on display to the rest of the world last week when BOCC Commissioners McLemore and Yeager appeared on regional tv responding to questions concerning their conduct in office.

One giant crocodile tear was Commissioner McLemore asking,“What’s wrong with a person working?” to deflect questions about getting $11,400 per WEEK from BP after the County dropped its lawsuit and the $80,000 bank account that appeared afterward on his public disclosures, and then disappeared.

The other obvious crocodile tear was Commissioner Yeager emotionally evading questions of lavish travel spending on the County account and the ethical and public accountability conflict posed by his employment with Preble-Rish, the permanently “continuing” county engineer that also is the city engineer and the engineer-of-record of most development work in Gulf County,“These people have HATRED for the community; they have MALICE; and they are expressing that thru this [clearly referring to the Citizens for Improving Gulf County PAC].”

Oh, my - the poor guys – these powerful victimizers are just so abused they can’t respond sensibly to the facts in the sunshine – and meanwhile everyone already knows that they are deviously accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of. Can’t you just hear their inconsolable suffering,“No one can understand the good that we do doo <sic> for the people.” Or do you get that all-too-familiar sickening feeling that the smiling crocodile is once again abusing others, only to damn them for speaking of and protesting the abuse?

The thing about crocodiles is that they can’t chew their food - they tear off large chunks of their prey and swallow additional pieces of otherwise useful building material to help grind and digest it, leaving only a path of torn corpses, destruction and excrement in their wake. This pretend sorrow over too-obvious self-serving corruption of authority and office is good only for creating more and bigger crocodiles; nothing else. Their legitimacy as representative of Gulf County is gone.

Look at the swath this monster has already wreaked upon Gulf County: the left-over BOCC majority of Williams, McLemore and Yeager could garner only a third of the BP funds for Gulf County that Franklin did. Apparently, these guys aren’t as trustworthy to BP, to the state or to the administrators as are our neighbors who are farther away and around the bend from the spill. Just take a look at what these guys did do with what money Gulf County did get ... and who and what they destroyed with their process. Can we reasonably blame anyone else – as they do – for what they themselves have wrought?

Look at the future reality as well: Gulf County is currently slated to receive at least 10 times that previous amount from BP through the RESTORE program funds. Can we imagine what these guys might do – in our name but to our detriment yet to their own benefit – once they are at THAT trough?

The crocodile tears and crocodile smiles shouldn’t be seen with sympathy – they should be alarming. When you realize that a croc is smiling at you from its dark, secret place, what can you do to protect yourself, to protect your children, to protect your home?

Shine your light right into its eye, freezing it from going any further while you can get clarity on the real situation. Your vote is a laser-pointer that cannot be controlled by anyone else, and can stop even the largest croc in its tracks. Use it. Use it to affirm the best alternative – whoever you think that may be – and to say,“No!” to the growing threat to Gulf County.

Stop the croc!

No rumor on the beating ...

... the son of anarchy assaulted someone else in public prior to that ... apparently just lookin' for it ... and got his tail busted pretty good by her brother later. Guess he found what he needed ...

So, once again, the victim (the girl) is made secondary - let's just see if charges are filed - the true abuse is covered up and society has no say in the matter.

"Now don't tell Momma ... or else everyone'll git hurt."
