This is really a strange question, and please hear me out, but does Duquesne need a school district? I lived in Phoenix for a short time and there was a town called Sun City. Sun City was a retirement town and you had to be around 50 to live there. Is it possible to do that here? Hypothetically speaking. Make it an adult only town, where you have to be 18 to live here, and if you have children, you have to pay to send them to a private school or academy. Is that possible? Improbable yes, but possible?

Shar, Price, Cale and Nick will keep out the coloreds. Corbett and his cronies don't want to go toe to toe with Phil. They will come out the loser, just like 398 teams have in Phil's illustrious career. White citizens must take a stand and vote for Ruby.

Wow, that really wasn't what I was getting at. The question is, if a town can no longer pay for it's schools, could it adopt the adult only policy? Turn that school into apartments for retirees. Obviously nobody with ever take this course of action, they will just chop the budget and give children even greater substandard education. Obviously parents don't care, or they would've moved away instead of sending their children to an awful school district. I lived in Duquesne years ago, and we had a nice place and two children. But when the kids hit school age, we moved away, for obvious reasons.
I'm just curious, when you're out of money, what other alternative is there?

You all better hope the schools in Duquesne stay open as no other community wants those animals attending their school.

An African American cannot fairly participate in this forum. Most of the comments that I've read thus far are blatantly racist. Can't we all just get along? I am hoping that I can turn those racist frowns upside down. Your district glass is only half empty right now with Lilly white milk...we intend to bring our culture and contributions to make your district glass overflowing with chocolaty diversity. You are the peanut butter to our chocolate. Key ingredients to the Reese's Cup. Consider this as Easter Season approaches and your eating from your Easter baskets. It can and will all work out quite tastily.

As long as we have the room and it's revenue neutral, I well be on the forefront of making a case to merge the Duquesne schools with and into the WMASD. It will be a win-win for Duquesne and West Mifflin children and it is clearly the right thing to do.

I agree as long as it is revenue equal and the kids from Duquesne are held to the same rules and standards as the kids from West Mifflin we can make it work. But ALLLLLLL THINGS NEED TO BE EQUAL. I should not have to pay to send someone's children to school. I don't care where they are from. If you think about it the right way, it is job security for the nepotistic employees so they should be for it also.

I seriously doubt that Duquesne could be an "adults only" city.

West Mifflin is going down the toilet too..increase in crime, businesses leaving, etc. We have our share of "ghetto dwellers" too. Just because these kids are from Duquesne doesn't mean they are bad. They deserve an education too. There are some really good students that come from this school!
