The key here is the cops were clueless until the residents told them about it. A friend of mine had the same thing happen on his block.
They noticed something up, contacted the sheriff's office and a couple of months later the SWAT team showed up at 3 houses at the same time.

The police actions are like a band aid. Overall not much changes. These houses multiply to fast. Not just in your area. It's all over.

Look at all the drug activity and crime in a small community, yet you argue with people who point out how the area is in decline...LOL.

Small community? You consider a county with almost 100,000 people small?
Yes, look around you as US 19 was just rehabbed in our area. There are going to be 3 lanes on 50 from Spring Hill to Brooksville and beyond. National retailers caught on early. They set up shop in Spring Hill. Face the facts, the area is in growth mode, far from this decline you write about.
"Drugs" are everywhere you go. Where you find "drugs" you find
criminal elements.
The point I was making in my original post is that if people speak up and complain the drug dealing houses cannot survive.
You find me some town, village, county, area in the U.S. that you can't find "drugs" and I will buy your house from you and send you there.
Also clarify what you call "all the drug activity" and crime.
If getting stopped for a traffic violation and a package of rolling paper is found its called "possession of drug paraphernalia"
The major "drug crime" in the U.S.(yep, Spring Hill is in the U.S.) is marijuana related. Funny that 18 states have legalized marijuana possession and production to some degree and now guess what, their "drug crime" numbers have dropped like a stone.
No more calls for "a guy smoking a joint on a park bench"
Hey, if you feel the area is in decline, get the "FOR SALE" sign up now before you loose another dime in property value. Then tell me where you'd rather live.

It happens all the time on the internet. Big mouths with nothing backing them hiding behind keyboards.

I call them "stabber". They throw out a stab and run.

I am sure they all had rough childhoods, socially.
