Brenda,

My heart goes out to you. I want you to know that everyone in Port Orford is very upset by the news and I have heard that quite a few are down in Gold Beach searching. We could hear Coast Guard helicopters throughout the night.

The news hasn't been updated, though Rob Ashdown's boat and crew members are being prayed for by all of Port Orford, including myself. A friend of mine, Mark, was one of the crewmen. The coastguard is working very hard to find them. Please pray for them.

Hi My name is Brandy. Well they stoped the search for the crew. They were all really close to my family, and two of the members just had babies! Umm..Now they are just waiting for their bodies to wash up on the beach, its very sad!

Fish on Boys, Port Orford loves you and will miss you greatly. Port Orford is made up of caring citizens who have suffered a great loss, and are grieving as a community at this time. Being a person who has only lived here for about 2 years now, I have never experienced such unity. It feels a part of my own family has been lost. And it has. Gods speed guys. We love you!

I am so sorry to hear of your anguish during this time. I have the tackle shop on Port Orford Dock, and it is with heavy hearts that we are all awaiting word from the coast guard. This is a tragic event for us here, and we pray for the families of these fine men. We will send our prayers your way too...may God bless you all. Cindi
