Growth is not always good. One very wonderful aspect of the area is the lack of air traffic.

Having in lived in many different cities, air pollution isn't just the stuff we breath. This pollution is also an audio/visual event.

It's similar to living near train tracks, only you can't move away from the noise.

Is it worth it to develop something that will be used by so few? Or is this a "let's build this and they will come" endeavor? If so, who will "they" be?

I have lived in Port Orford and now in Sixes Oregon, I live on Airport Rd. and have for over 2 years, there is a lot of potential for the Cape Blanco Airport. All it needs is someone to help to get something done with it. I do not see or hear any problems with air traffic, the loudest aircraft around here is the coast guard helicopters, that are not based here. I just went to a meeting and heard John Irwin talk and show a slide show about the area. The airport could be a great way to grow this area and bring in people and tourist, if we only had someone who would be interested in doing something here? I am interested in this area and might be willing to help with??? I am disabled but could mabe answer a phone for people interested in the airport or area? I am a pilot an have owned a couple of airplanes, I don't owne one now or have flown lately but I know there are a few people who have aircraft and ultralights at the airport, I see them flying. Anyway, this is just a thought from me.

To start with, I hear that there is a lot of touch and goe's at the airport? Well if there was even a sign there saying something about the area and or what's here? Then that would get them to mabe land and look rather that touch and go??? Any way. We need a grant to get some power and mabe an office and phone there? There are a lot of idea's and I shouldn't be the only one talking here. Thanks. Ron.
