Port Orford Beauty

Wow, Port Orford is a great place. We stayed at Port Orford RV Village. It is a great full service RV park.
Owners Tim & Cindy sent us out to explore the area with map in hand.
We saw the Port Orford Heads and Life Boat station once housed by the Coast Guard and now a museum. After that we hiked Humbug mountain. During our stay we kayaked, biked out to the lighthouse, what a delight as was the historic Hughes house. We explored all the beaches and found some agates, toured the fish hatchery on the Elk river and explored the Sixes river with our dog.
There is so much natural beauty here. Do not miss the boat dolly lifts at the Port.
We especially enjoyed our two meals out at Port And Starboard and the newly opened Redfish restaurant. We will come back each year to this special place as we did not get to crab and we want to attend the local Theatre 101 complete with local Port Orford movie stars!
Well off to watch the sunset at Paradise Point Wayside.

Thank you for all the positive comments about our favorite town on the West Coast, Port Orford. It is true, there is so much to do in PO that it is difficult to find the time to enjoy what this area has to offer. Happy Trails.
