Why would you respond to a personal issue, in a public forum, if it is a personal issue? This isn't an outreach program it's painful grief for anyone who actually knew the person. Your morbid sense of sharing that with strangers is in bad taste.

Joe, ur an ahole. Ur attack on someone that lost their best friend in a tragic accident is heartless and inhuman. Id bash ur teeth in if i could.

Personal loss or personal information should be kept within a circle of people, that can lend support.

There are plenty of people that may agree with you. You're ignoring the personal aspect of grief, and making sound like lack of compassion. No... not minding your own business is a lack of compassion and understanding. PerSonal!

Bob, you're not exactly adding anything positive to the topic yourself so why don't you STFU as well. Personally, I believe Joe is right....including the surname of the deceased is not appropriate in a public forum. The OP is more than likely a minor and does not know better. I believe the Topix moderators should remove, or at least edit, that post.

Recently an 8 year old girl AcciDenTally started a fire in the bedroom. A family Member tried to help the little girl with her feelings. It takes time! It was the right thing to do, because it was possitive reinforcement. Then- Daytona Beach News Journal printed her name in the paper! Very wrong!

With the the exception of Kendall, a child, Joe and Bob seem not to care that a young man has tragically been taken from the people who cared about him-as many did. This is not about "bad taste." Everyone grieves in their own way. He was a great kid.

Well, since you apparently did not know this young man, and it has nothing to do with you, your comments above were sticking your impersonal nose rudely in someone else's business. Kendall, at least, was being kind. Take care.

telling people to mind their own bussiness isn't sticking your nose rudely in someones bussiness. It's a public forum. That made it you're business- its wrong

Hypocrites. Religious freaks, tax free property's to build a church using up valuable real estate and they still take there business out to the sidewalk. A eulogy is a private personal matter _ swiftly becomes twisted into attacking a child?.. Hypocrites. Ignoring the constitutional right to expression, by attacking those words used, because god pays their taxes, Hypocrites. The people that want anybody to follow them to church because if they don't they have no belief in god at all [Wrong} They believe in offending others and standing behind their beliefs just to attack people. Hypocrites

The previous comments indicate that everybody does not grieve in their own way, the focus is placed on grief and tragedy. With a very short comment that he was a great kid. That isn't good for Jake or Kendell. Because stranger's will comment that it is sad, and point out the obvious. A public forum just lengthens the healing process. And thats sad. It's also the point!

TO THE NASTY REMARKS IN THIS SITE
This wonderful child Colin was a good friend with my 2 kids and they were in the same classes as him and have to return to school today to face this hard issue. My daughter asked me if it was ok to cry at school today because Colin would not be in their classes. I also had to spend the entire weekend comforting my kids and trying to help them comprehend what happened to a very very young friend of theirs.
Obiviously the adults in this forum have nothing better to do than argue with each other.
We are speaking of 12 and 13 year old children who are trying to understand losing a perfect child and are ALSO posting on this site.
The children here seem to be the only mature comments made.
The adults should not be arguing and cussing
about something that is none of their business.
Leave this site for the kids who were his friends and want to post to Colin.
Grow up and respect these poor childrens feelings!
