We have lived here in Port Leyden for two years and have met a number of just plain good old folks. We have never been made to feel like the "outsiders" that we hear so much about. Bobby J owns and runs an auto repair shop here. He is a good family man, a great neighbor, and a valued friend. While he is one of the BEST MECHANICS I have EVER encountered, he is probably one of the worst businessmen. As far as I can figure, he has two faults. One, he is unable to say "No" when you need help getting your vehicle back on the road. Two, he won't hound you for the money that you owe him. Money seems to be the furthest thing from his mind when you need help, even though he has to come out of his own pocket to pay for your parts and for his employees. It's not in him to remind you that you still owe him. Some would call him a pushover and have no problem in taking advantage of his good nature.

I've been to his house many times and have had to wrestle him to the ground and INSIST that he GIVE ME A BILL so I can pay him what he has EARNED. My parents raised me to take care of my family and friends, and I am proud to call Bobby my friend. He is a rare breed and an asset to the community. If he were just a better businessman, he could stop digging holes around the property to find where he buried all that cash..

Bob does work on my car whenever I need him to. I understand and agree with you about the bill situation, but all and all....Bob is a great guy and I know he doesn't try to screw people over when it comes to fixing stuff (Unlike LFT)...Keep up the great work BOB!

I want to jump in on this one. He's the best mechanic I know! AND he's honest! He's one of those people who always has something positive to say. And he's always willing to help someone, whether they have money or not. He lives his faith. It's good to hear people complement Bob J because he desserves it.

Bob J. A class act! Bob does not serve two masters! His Master is not Money. Call him a bad businessman but I'll bet he receives all he ever needs to support his family and I'll bet he's happy in his own shoes. How many supposed "good businessmen" can say that??? This area is a better place because of people like him.

To "Another transplant" How do we know just what Bob"J" Family really needs ? I have never seen anyone around here that couldn't use a little extra. We have all had to live from one Payday to the next, and it's not fun and I hope I never have to do it again. Peace of mind is having something put away to fall back on. And if a Friend needs my help or if I just want to give a gift. I don't have to worry about where the money will come from or if it will be taking away from my family. I heard a story from someone here in town about a Man who's wife was in the hospital, and went to Bob"J" for a New set of tires. Of course Bobby put on a new set, even knowing he was broke (that's what friends do). I didn't know the Mans name, but I ask Bob if the story was true, he said yes, but He knows and God knows He never paid. And the man would have to face God one day. I told Bob"J" not only did he lose a Friend but he lost a Customer as well. I am starting to think God needs to give alittle attention to his Collection Dept. I have said it before, MY MOM just didn't raise me that way. DO yourself a favor, look back through your Bills and if you OWE anyone, Do the right thing and soon. And when it's all paid off you will feel better and you will have more TRUE Friends that know you realy care.

I've known Bobby my entire life. It's his nature to do and expect NOTHING in return, if he were to collect on all debts owed to him he'd be a millionare! God bless you Bobby...your a true inspiration for all! js

i personally do not know bobby kreager, but i have in this last week seen and heard some disturbing things concerning him. an elderly lady who lives in brantingham droped off her vehicle to him for repair i guess and i witnessed her having to walk home from his shop after dropping off vehicle. if hes such a great uy why didnt he offer to take her home it was only 80+ degrees out. and then ive heard from several how he personally is slamming another business in this town and doesnt even personally know the owner or experience or business knowledge that this owner and family members have. im sorry but i personally do not judge without facts that i have witnessed. but thats professional...

most people would have kids if they didnt believe in birth control and/or abortions. Does believing in life and praising god make him a bad person? Does your bratty little mouth make you better?

Is this guy a real ligit businessman? I would certainly beg to differ... I know of one of his customers that had to wait MONTHS for a simple repair job! He is NEVER able to be gotten ahold of! He tend to "put a bandaid" on cars just so they can pass inspections. I would certainly like to see this guy audited! A real business man rapairs a job the CORRECT way and rightfully so demands payment! Maybe if he wasn't into bandaid jobs he wouldn't have such a guilty conscience to go after these people and demand payment!

Are you a businessman, or just rude and money hungry? Thats the way it sounds to me. I just had a clutch put in my car by Bobby. I had no trouble getting in touch with him. He does need time to himself and his family. You ever think that when you called that maybe he was eating, in church or maybe going to get parts? Not every waking minute needs to be spent in that garage!

just make sure you don't take it there with a full tank of gas because when you get it back it will have a lot more miles on it and will be running on fumes. everyone will be driving it but you.
