Man Shot in Face During Fight In Front of LI Home

A Long Island man is accused of shooting another man in the face during an argument outside of his Port Jefferson home. Full Story

I don't understand why the father of the kids isn't being charged with anything since he brought the kids back to the man's house with weapons with the intent to hurt him. The incident wouldn't have escalated if they didn't come back looking for trouble. Plus, the man didn't aim to shoot the young man that was hurt, it was accidental.
