Yeah, the person named Friday Night Lights sure did make it seem like he was Caza's boyfriend!

Thankfully, Caza was blown out again the moment he entered the playoffs -- as usual for a team coached by Mark Caza.

Hopefully, Caza will be replaced as Head Football Coach of Marysville High School sooner rather than later.

For those of you calling for Knuth to coach. First of all, the only thing bigger than Caza's ego is JK's. In fact the only difference between Knuth and God is God doesn't think he is Knuth.
Knuth did coach football, boys basketball etc.(I was there) and switched to girls because he could not control the boys like he could the girls. Yes he won at volleyball and probably will again.
Of course, taking over now can only make the next coach look good next to caza. But the current players would hate it even more than they do now.
Need a fresh start with a coach from outside of Marsyville.
I would rather have John Knuth coach the Marysville Viking football program than any other man alive.

John Knuth is to high school coaching what Ric Flair is to professional wrestling: he is God!

If John Knuth cannot replace Mark Caza, perhaps because Knuth recently had a heart attack, it means we need to decide who else will replace Mark Caza.

With that in mind, I can tell you I agree with you that the new coach needs to come from the outside; it cannot be someone who is currently with the Marysville football program. All current Marysville coaches were content to follow the leadership of Mark Caza, even though he was leading them over the edge of a cliff to their doom.

No intelligent player would want someone like Winston as his Head Coach. Remember, Winston didn't have the guts to stand up to Caza. It's sort of like the old philiosphy of: Do you want to follow the fool or do you want to follow the fool who follows the fool.

Jason Vandermaas has done an excellent job as Head Football Coach of Cros-Lex. He has turned around the Cros-Lex football program in a very nice way. Although, it should be noted that John Knuth was the Athletic Director of Cros-Lex when this turnaround was happening.

The important thing is that John Knuth is the best solution for restoring Marysville football to where it was before the legendary Walt Braun was fired by that envious idiot Bill Farnsworth.(I hope Farnsworth's kid enjoys telling people for the rest of his life that he spilled Gatorade on his football coach when he won that tough MAC Silver league!). LOL, the MAC Silver is one of the weakest leagues in the state.

If Knuth is not able to replace Caza because of health reasons, we need to fire Caza and get a new coach from the outside.

The worst thing that can happen is letting Caza remain the Head Football Coach of Marysville. Caza is already trying to fill people's heads with false information making it seem like he did something impressive winning the MAC Silver league championship. I'm glad my friend has reminded Caza that Marysville only played two good teams the whole year and Caza was blown out by both of them!

Playing in the MAC Silver makes me sick because it is so full of disgrace. You actually need to work long and hard to build up enough of a losing record over several seasons to be placed in the MAC Silver the way Caza did. Marine City is running from the #4 MAC Blue league like wimps, but John Knuth would have gladly guided Marysville to play in the #1 MAC Red by now (just like he did in Volleyball)!

Caza has a 10 game losing streak to Marine City since he has taken over. Hire a new coach to end that sort of garbage!

Marine City is going to the state finals for the second time in four years. MC will probably with another state title. But hey, I give Caza the advantage because Caza beat that 8-1 team from the MAC Bronze! LOL HAhaHAhaHA!!!

When Marine City wins that second state championship there will be no doubt the best football program EVER in the history of the Blue Water area is Marine City.

Marine City will have the same number of state titles as Marysville, but far more Regional Championships, District Championships, and Playoff Appearances.

Tough luck Marysville!

Touch luck Caza!

By the way, I can't wait for those 13 years to pass when Marine City breaks Marysville's state record of 39 winning seasons in a row. MC has the longest streak in the state right now at 27. Just 13 more seasons until 40.

Less than 48 hours until Marine City's football program completely eclipses the work of Walt Braun, John Knuth, and Jim Venia.

I would have mentioned Mark Caza in the previous paragraph, but Mark Caza wasn't worthy to be named with those other men. Plus Mark Caza hasn't accomplished anything as Head Football Coach of Marysville.

Well, I take that back. Mark Caza is the only Marysville Head Football Coach in history to have a 0 win 9 loss season.

Hey Mr. Caza, from what I hear the Marine City coaches are far more open minded when it comes to receiving suggestions from people. Look how dominant Marine City has been since the end of the 2005 season when they enthusiastically opened up their playbook!

Less than 47 hours!

Then, Marysville football is nothing more than a memory that isn't regarded by anyone as anything special!

Mission: Accomplished!

Oh, Mark, the people here in Marine City look forward to keeping that 12-game winning streak going against you!

Go Mariners!

Thank you for proving my earlier post.

And now you advocate playing in the MAC Red? The legendary coach Braun's record against PH Northern was 8 wins and 13 losses. Respectable considering that Northern is twice the size of Marysville, but lessened by the fact that several of those wins were with Port Huron kids that transfered to Marysville and stayed when PH had no sports for one year. Mac Red Schools would have 3x enrollment of Marysville. Not even the current/former warden, er I mean coach, in Marine City is foolish enough to try playing schools twice the size let alone 3x (see my next post)

As for the Mac silver, it is not as bad as previous posts state. In 2010 there were a record 4 schools from the silver that were in the playoffs with respectable showings. Granted 2011 was a down year for talent in the silver, but no worse than the Braun piling up the wins in the weak SCAL and against such patsies as Cros-Lex, Algonac, Marine City (yes they were back then).

Not defending the current coach (if you saw my previous post), but the worst coach in Marysville history would actually be John Simpson whose 1-14 record in the 1950-51 campaign takes the honor.

@Marine City Fan

We can tell you were educated in MC too since it took an hour to write a couple of paragraphs. Oh, and the mission accomplised? Marine Citys legacy of 1 state title won on the back of a superstar who did not even live in the district and 1 embarrassing state final appearance. You would have been better off losing to Crockett because now that B**** slapping in the finals shows up on TV every so often for the next year. That is the MC legacy.

MC's further legacy is one of letting criminals continue to play football. It will be interesting to see if the new warden, er coach, maintains the same pathetic standards as the old warden, er coach. Now go back to the MC blogs to defend the inmates that are allowed to wear their orange jump suits. I see there are a few decent people in MC that are more ashamed of your standards than the shellacking in the finals.

Well if you need to know for most of the 70s the vikings went all over the state to play good class B schools. They went as far north as Cadillac. They went to Grand Rapids and as far South as Jackson. For SCAL if you were undefeated you still might not make it in to the play offs.

Hate to break it to you Braun got fired because of his ethics. A group pile is not tolerated in the 90s nor today. Venia met the same fate.
For a good replacement for Caza in Marysville Bill Grant who is the head coach of the freshmen team is a perfect choice. He was a part of the 92 State Championship team and has coached football at Marysville now for years. As head coach of both the 8th grade team and Freshmen team he has earned many winning seasons. Also he can coach offence and defense without any trouble. Caza in my opinion is not fit to coach a varsity team in Marysville.

Another Football season is fast approaching! Yeah!

Just thought I would let Allan know that he needs to check his facts a little bit closer.

Midland has 34 consecutive winning seasons (active)- the longest consecutive winning season streak in the state after MARYSVILLE's 39.

MC has 21 playoff appearances and MARYSVILLE has 19
(Midland has 22). Wow, MC has 2 more than MARYSVILLE. I don't consider that a lot.

Zeeland West - 45 / MC - 7
Still waiting for that second State Championship MC.

By the way, MARYSVILLE has 3 State Championships
1992 1986 1961

I just watched Marysville win against Fraser. The win was a result of pure determination by the Viking players. The coaching was awful. In one case, no one was back for punt return. That led to poor field position. The team was not prepared properly and poor coaching decisions were evident all evening.
Marysville needs a REAL football coach so it can return to its days of glory. Give Caza his walking papers.

Marysville's football struggles will soon come to an end.

I see that my massive donations to Marysville Public Schools are going to waste. My team of advisers and I will soon appoint a new head coach.

Several known coaches such as Jim Schwartz, Brady Hoke and Jim Harborough have shown high interest in the job due to its $5,000,000 dollar a year salary I have publicly announced on .

Also, I have decided to increase academics to the finest standards so that the students of Marysville will have the nation's top education.

The stadium will get a complete overhaul to an exact design of my choosing. It will be able to seat 10,000 people comfortably and allow for another 5,000 to view from a standing location close to the field.

I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Marysville. I never meant for this disaster to continue for this long. I would have attended to this issue earlier but my incredible addiction for power and greed have distracted me for some time now. Now that I have achieved the status of most powerful human in the universe, I can finally focus my time towards football.

From this point on, Marysville will be a dominant force in High School football. Numerous league and state championships will soon be here.

I am Mark Kearns.... my power is LIMITLESS!..In this world there is nothing I CANNOT DO!

An ignorant Marysville "insider" once said:
"Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible."
A wise football strategy mastermind originally called a "Superfan," and then called an "outsider" once said:
"Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, expecting more than others think is possible, and accepting more offensive playbook solutions than others think is required."__________

I am the author of this quote. I am not an ignorant Marysville insider. In fact, I have never been to Marysville. Please correct or remove.
