I know what you mean. It's hard enough for small business owners to make a living and now the government stepping in telling them what they cant allow in their Bar is terrible. whats next...

Go hug a tree.
Just sayin..........
I took your advice and I did go hug a tree. Right after that I hugged your wife and your mother and they both really liked it.

Thanks for demonstrating that you have no idea what that word even means.

These bans are specifically designed to stop citizens from being poisoned.
Your delusions of persecution are just lame. Smoke all you please. In fact, I encourage you to smoke as much as possible. Contrary to your DRAMA, nothing is stopping you from consuming as many cigarettes as your lungs will accept.
BTW......Damn near ALL laws, from theft to murder to not poisoning your fellow citizens are a legislation of morality. If all people did what was morally right at all times, there would be no need for a legal system. If you could grasp that there is no such thing as 'freedom to poison your fellow citizens', and just did the right thing on your own, there wouldn't need to be smoking bans either. The bans exist because your kind is morally flawed.

The level of ignorance that SOME (not all) pro-smokers display is nothing less than disgusting. I have to agree with everything you've written, especially when you encouraged this MORON to smoke all he/she wants.

Your statement proves that these bans are about legislating morality and closing bars. People don't go to a bar to get healthy or to be "moral". That's why they have vending machines in the mens room. You probably have never entered one, and want to make sure no one else enters one either.

I quit smoking years ago. I just don't like tax exempt political action committees (charities?) from using LAW ENFORCEMENT and SNITCHLINES to FORCE people to OBEY theur guidelines.

They don't go to a bar to smoke, either. They go to DRINK. Ever seen a bar that doesn't serve booze and just allows smoking? Contrary to your histrionics, bars are alive and well......No prohibition, no nefarious conspiracy to close all bars.
Do you even listen to your own paranoid nonsense? I mean really......smoking bans are an effort to close all bars? You really think it has absolutely NOTHING to do with citizens not wanting to be poisoned by cigarettes, the same way YOU YOURSELF have chosen to not be poisoned by cigarettes? Are you really this clueless?

Do you feel the same about forcing businesses to not hire illegal immigrants?
How about snitches using law enforcement to force people to obey their guidelines about spitting in your food, or refusing to serve black people, or murdering people?
The LAW is the LAW. You don't get to pick and choose the ones you like.

Before they became political action committees, the educational effort of these charities was very succeessful for over 40 years in greatly reducing the smoking rate. Now they are creating a situation where they are thrown out of many bars and vets clubs.

Nobody is thrown out of anywhere, Drama Queen. They can still go to as many bars as they like. They merely have to walk a few steps to smoke. Just like they have to walk a few steps to take a leak. Do you cry about a loss of "freedom to piss all over the other customers" because they are required to go to the restroom? Why is it so hard to act like and adult?

This is EXACTLY what you childish whiners all sound like:

You honestly think that making it so smokers cant smoker at bars or restaurants is going to save anybody? All its going to do is make them smoke somewhere else where you cant see them. The smokers are still going to smoke and take the risks associated with it.
That works just fine for me... and the overwhelming number of Americans who don't smoke, and passed the laws to stop the nicotine addicts. And smokers can take all the risks they want... if they don't endanger another human being in any workplace or any public place at all, for that matter.

The laws have made that quite clear, numnutz.
