Logan’s Law supporters worked long hours on their efforts to see the bill pass; and if the bill had been made law, it would never have stopped an animal abuser from obtaining a dog. And, when that animal abuser abuses another dog and gets caught; after law enforcement works long and hard hours gathering evidence of his abusing the new dog; and after the prosecuting attorney and his/her staff works long and hard hours doing what they have to do to get the abuser into court – after all of these long and hard hours – including a bunch of money spent; the abuser goes through the plea bargaining process, and winds up with 20 hours of community service required. Dogs and cats are a dime a dozen – the Municipal Shelters are bursting at the seams with stray & abandoned dogs – the non-profit clinics ar working night & day spaying and neutering – right next door you’ve got Mrs. Jones who is breeding her dogs so that sonny can see what birthing is all about – and not far from her you will find a 60-fertil-dogs, County Licensed Breeding kennel, cranking out puppies by the dozens. The only way we are ever going to solve the problem and expense and the abuse – not just the abuse at the hands of the owner-abuser, but at the hands of the breeders – cage after cage – dogs who live their entire lies in those cages – never get out – used until they can produce no more –
then, if they are lucky die, otherwise are sent to the auction block in hopes that somebody will pay a few bucks hoping to get one more puppy to sell at the flea market – is to adopt a law that requires all dogs and cats to be spayed/neutered; unless one has obtained a Special Hard-to-Get-Temporary-Breeding License.

Animal abuse registries are stupid and serve no useful purpose. Good move. No need to waste resources on something stupid like this. The money is better spent building bridges to nowhere in Alaska.

Easy to understand why Asians eat them... they're plentiful.

and at the rate that they over produce, the problem is only going to get worse. I wish the USA was free and open minded like Canada where dog meat is legal. Not saying I would eat it. I just don't see why it is illegal to possess and/or process it.
