Behind every Union Worker is a family that needs to be feed and taken care of. Grand Gulf is the lowest paid nuclear security group in the country. They are armed and trained to defend the plant from threats. The guards stay at the plant through huricanes. They are there day and night, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, births and deaths of family. And as undermanned as they are, I bet they stand more overtime in a month than most people do in a year.
Before you judge, go talk to them. Ask them about their hours, wages, constant training requirements. See how much they miss of their families doing this job no one respects BUT IS A FEDERAL REQUIREMENT.
