With all the money we waste on recycling already, and now they want to spend more on it. It's nothing more than a scam, all the way through. Recycling does not reduce the amount of raw material used, not using the materials in the first place does that. Nor does recycling provide a profit, it costs lots of money, money that the city is paying. The only reason the city enforces it is so they can collect the penalty from basically everyone to pay for stupid projects ... like another sports arena.
