Well said Citizen! Yes it is time to move on. The deputies should remember the words of John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you, Ask what you can do for your country".

So please, stop the bickering, respect your boss, because he is your boss whether you like it or not, and do the job you were sworn to do. Protect and Serve, not Conquer and Divide. There are good men and women at the Sheriff's Office. Don't make a mockery of them!!!

I understand Sutton still has not conceded to the Sheriff... So I guess that tells you what a real man is, doesn't it? He was so positive he was going to win that he continued to bully and run a dirty campaign. Did he ever think what it would be like if he didn't win or did it even cots his mind? All the deputies that disrespected the sheriff should be put in their place including him. They had the cocky attitude throughout the entire campaign. Now they have lost.. Have they even thought about what the consequences may be??

If that is the case and Sutton hasn't conceded, that is pretty disrespectful and a full display of poor sportsmanship. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, he would be very indignent if the Sheriff acted like that. Then again, Sheriff Janney has more cuth than that. You are absolutely right, those that disrespected him and his Administration should be dealt with in a very firm manner. Some of them still continue to disrespect him especially Adam Streight. I don't know who some of them think they are, but if I were their boss, I would suggest to them they get with the program and do the job they were sworn to do. That would include some of them who work at the Detention Center as well. Some of them deserve to have the wind taken right out of their sails as well. The majority of the Correctional Officers who work there do a great job under stressful circumstances. Those who want to create havoc should be thrown right out the dooor.

That is the best Idea I have ever heard! Sutton,Streight and any other Patrol Deputy that has disrespected Sheriff Janney should be reassigned to The Detention Center as a Correctional Officer!See how long before they quit, I bet not long at all! I don't think any of them could make it!Good Idea once again!!!!!!!

They are all still disrespecting the sheriff and his administration from what I understand. They are a disgrace to law enforcement. And I heard Sutton wasn't planning on conceding the Sheriff. Check out Streights facebook page...congratulating the Sheriff for a job well done and deserved.. WHAT? Is trying to kiss up now? He's a disgrace too. He should not even be president of the FOP. Get someone in there that shows a little respect for their police officers.. We know he doesn't have any!!!

Scared...running scared...that's what it is all about. There isn't any reason to be scared unless you did something wrong. If you supported a candidate because you believed he was the best choice for the citizens and not for your own agenda, what are you scared about? I say scared because there is no sense in being angry...The Sheriff has been chosen by the people. There isn't any way to change it, you are only torturing yourself. I say scared because there is a high level of professionalism within the current administration and they would not come close to the disrespect that has been shown to them by Sutton and his supporting deputies.

I would also like to address the "forced" retirement issue with a certain deadbeat. Your paperwork was submitted before you jumped ship and rolled to support Sutton. Stop lying and looking for sympathy! Your decision, your choice, your retirement. You have been playing the political game long enough to know how this would play out, hence your paperwork being submitted before the election. Leave with a little dignity and tell your "it's not fair" crew the TRUTH!

You are absolutely right in your statements. No one "forced" or "pushed out" anyone. All of them who disrespected the Sheriff and the Administration deserve what they get. In some departments they wouldn't still have their jobs and if they did, it would be probably counting the rolls of toiled paper cleaning up what they dished out.

Isn't it odd how Sheriff Janney went to bat for these guys by getting the 'at will" policy removed, whereby the acting sheriff could no longer terminate a deputy for supporting another candidate? And what do many deputies and detectives do ? They screw Sheriff Janney by using it to their own selfish advantage. Do any of them even have a conscience? The answer is "hell no".
Yeah, I agree with many on this forum. Hammer time. And only because of the downright arrogant in your face cockyness that they displayed. Many of them should consider changing their bumper stickers on their personal cars from "another deputy for Sutton" to "another deputy bites the dust".

Where are all the Sutton camp people now? They were so quick to make their dirty comments before the election and now that it is over everyone seems to be in hiding!! I guess they still can't comprehend the loss. Too bad... The best man won!! I sure hope Sutton doesn't embarrass himself again and run in 4 years. Three strikes and you're out.

I have to say, Janney is a MASTER of hiding his mess at electon times. Now all we have to do is wait for headlines like, Escape from the Cecil County Dention Center; Riot at the Cecil County Dention Center; Officer Charged( Not of of Janneys), etc.
I would hate to think that so many people in Cecil County supported such a pathetic, admitted liar that supports dishonesty within his administration.
Janney Shames Cecil County for another Four Years!
