Molly, our prayers are with you. You are in my thoughts often. I don't have any daughters, but if I did, they'd probably be a lot like you.
Winter is brutal: Ohio winters are especially so. Being young doesn't necessarily affect the occurrence of a serious accident one way or another. It's a lot of factors: Time and place at a critical moment; attention to the road and to other drivers; size, weight and general condition of the vehicles involved, driving speed....the list goes on.
It cannot thrive as a situation of blame in anyone's direction - it is the hope and the belief that all will be well. The young have a great healing capacity. We hope to hear about your recovery shortly. We know you can do it.
