Well, looks like they're at it again. Another teenager's future more than likely destroyed by a ridiculous law pertaining to a completely harmless substance. Child Endangerment? When exactly was the 15 year old in "Danger"? I hope the administration sleeps well tonight knowing they demonized a young man for something that they've more than likely done themselves during the course of their lives. Way to go PB, keeping that High School "Safe" from the "Killer Marijuana Cookies". Job well done.

I dont see anything wrong with selling drugs in school. I think they should let all the kids smoke dope in classes. It not the kids fault. They were raised that way. Mom and Dad lets them smoke at home. so Mom and Dad should be the ones in jail. It was probably Mom and Dads dope and the poor kid is the one who gets in all the trouble.

They didn't have a drug dog when I was going to school. If they did, I'm pretty sure I would not have taken a chance and brought drugs to school. It would have been a huge deterrent for me. I applaud the efforts of the adminstration, school board, and police to get drugs out of the school. The kids that sell, buy, or bring drugs to school are taking a huge chance of getting their picture in the paper. I have kids in high school and I made sure they read the DAR article. The kid that was arrested comes from a great family. When you're 17 years old, you don't always exercise good judgment. I predict he'll overcome this and do something good with his life. I hope the other kids that are doing drugs learn something from this.

It"s all in how you raise your kids.

I agree, they should not have put his pic on the front page of the paper. Learn something tho? I doubt it. He might have come from a good family, but the kids gonna do what he's gonna do, don't matter who his family members are.

This is so similar to another case last year. Remember Dustin Calvert? He got busted at least twice and he STILL deals. Doesn't make him a bad person, but he will only stop when he wants to stop.

I do not want my children going to a school that just lets dope dealers come back with open arms!! What?? All they do it is suspended for a short time and have be drug tested randomly. What's to say these same people won't do it again and give these cookies to one of our children. These dope dealers should be put out of our schools!! If they don't care about their education, why the h*ll should we??!!

BS. Good kids can come from bad families, and vice versa. It may sometimes have to do with poor parenting, but there's only so much a parent can do. This is just a rat-hole of a town.

I've seen plenty of good young people get eaten up by the drugs in this area. After that, even if they do manage to go straight, the judgmental people here won't allow someone to rebound. Pitiful. If someone truly want's to get off drugs and are working hard to better themselves, people should get behind them and go out of their way to help these people, not stand on their shoulders while they shovel the dirt of their grave in their face.

Good job in catching the criminal. yes he is a criminal, it is against the law. I am not saying that it is right or wrong but it is ILLEGAL. When and if they change the laws then he wont be a criminal anymore. It doesnt matter if we agree or disagree with the law we have to obey it.

Yes, it is child endangerment. It is not completely harmless. Marijuana is illegal for good reason. And to condone selling it? To a child? You must be on it and it's killed one too many of your brain cells.

If you must know I know his father. I go to church with them, and he is not that kind of a person. I'm sure he is hiding under a rock right now. And I know the kid, I've known him since we were little kids. He lost his mother at a young age due to Cancer so he had a tragic childhood. Am I saying he can use that as a defense? No. Quite the opposite. But he was NOT raised that way.

No it's not. Pot was made illegal to stop white girls from having sex with black jazz musicians. That worked out real well.

We're not talking about drugs here. We're talking about a plant.

You're right. Marijuana is illegal, but not for good reason. There are absolutely no scientific studies to support your claim that Marijuana kills brain cells. When we're talking about a plant (With an LD-50 rating that doesn't exist) that has never been attributed to even 1 recorded death in over 600 years of use, it's pretty safe to refer to it as harmless. It's a plant that studies have shown destroy cancer cells, and according to the National Institute of Mental Health marijuana smoke is the only substance on earth known to man that will stop the ill effects of a stroke within seconds after inhaling. You should do a little bit of research.

Marijuana is a gate way drug. People that do marijuana don't just stop there. It stops getting them the same intense high that it used to and resort to things such as bath salts and cocaine. Marijuana does distort you and you're not yourself. I've been around people that are high. They're fucking retarded. They don't know what's going on and don't give a shit. I don't want someone like that driving or around my kids. Theres nothing good about it so keep it illegal. If it is legalized you now have a whole bunch of idiots driving around high, people working high and fucking up products, and people that you can't hold a normal conversation with. IT HAS NO UPSIDE and it's illegal for a reason. Look at the whole picture

I'm not saying I agree one way or the other on marijuana legalization but for those who say, "It's a plant," so is the coca plant which produces cocaine or the psilocybin mushroom (shrooms) and peyote. There's good arguments out there but that's not one of them. So for all those that say it's all natural, well, so is toad licking.

And alcohol is better? Reading your post it is obvious that you have never smoked weed and the people you claim to know that have are all idiots.

I like people like you Willie. You make me laugh by spitting out "Facts" that you probably heard while sitting in a room full of "Alcholic Scholars". Let us now break down this argument of yours. You compare the Cannabis plant with the coca plant, shrooms, and peyote.

COCAINE is NOT an example of a plant in it's natural state at all. The leaves must be processed and the cocaine extracted, and concentrated to get the "drug" you used for a plant comparison. You see, dried coca leaves are traditionally chewed with lime or used in tea and are harmless in their natural state. In fact the leaves are only 1.5 times more toxic than caffeine.

PSILOCYBIN
Another non toxic wonder of nature that is vert comparible is Psilocybin. I say non toxic because much like Marijuana there is no LD 50 rating on "shrooms", in otherwords you can't overdose on Psilocybin mushrooms, they are natural and safe.

PEYOTE
Another comparible natural substance. The indians have used it for centuries with no problems at all. Again there is no LD 50 rating for Peyote, so it will more than likely make you sick, but unlike the ever legal alcohol, and cigarettes, and even asprin that you can buy at the store, you can't die from it.

Last and funniest is TOAD-LICKING. The practice of "toad-licking" has evolved into an urban legend – that the venom secreted through the skin of some toads cause hallucinations. In fact, the venom has been cultivated for generations to be used for medicinal purposes in human beings.

However, the venom is highly toxic to pets. So unless you're a toad-licking ferret, you really don't have much to worry about.
