I don't like to give out personal info over the web. Was the test hard? I have been out of school a number of years so I'm a little afraid, especially the math part.

Awww so sorry that you are such reject that you didnt pass. The instructors are great and make you feel very comfortable. I love the program and highly disagree with you. If you think about it the money you will make in the future will not compare to the money you spend on this school. And it is possible to get it funded. Maybe your mad. Did you not pass the course? Don't be a angry person.

I am going through the program now and love it!Your life as you know it will end but it is well worth it. I love the instructors, they all three really care about how you are doing. And the cordinator even though she is only 4 foot something she can be intimidating. But she is a wonderful teacher and last years class had a 100%pass rate on state boards. Small price to pay for a wonderful education. OK Mrs. D I am getting off so I can study for the final. I know you are reading. Oh yes she sees everything. LOL

The test to me which was many years back was more like a college placement test. Just relax and do your best. I enjoyed the teachers and they were great especially Mrs D. Have fun nursing is a wonderful and rewarding career.

My apologizes if I came off as rude or hateful in the last post. It was kind of pieced together. Anyone that wants to know about the exam here it is. The exam is probably the easiest part of the class. If you are not able orready to commit your entire life to this program for 1 year then in my opion you are not ready to take the test. This course is no joke. I am currently enrolled and am so glad I deced to do it.Yes my life has ended until July 31. But it is worth it. As for the instructors. They are wonderful. They go out of their teaching requirments to make sure you know the material and that you are comfortable do the skills. If you look at last years pass rate you will understand my point. I do recommend this course to anyone wanting to become a nurse. this is the best school and best instructors to begin with.

Thank you so much for all of your comments. This program was recommeded to me by someone who had gone through it. I am a recently divorced Mom of two boys, 8 + 11. I am 32 years old and haven't looked at a book since high school. So I am a little scared. Is there a book somewhere that would help me prepare for entrance exam?

You can't even spell instructor. You obviously were to stupid to make it through. No wonder why you would harbor resentment for the instructors.

If you want to prepare, go to the ATI testing website. Great resource for prep.

Its the same website that the actual test is administered through. They have practice exams. That was the only prep I did before I took it and i did fine.

after getting a pell grant, which covers about half of it, you can get a grant from wia (apply at the missouri career center or community action agency) and they will pay for the rest.

You don't want student loans? Well, neither did I!! Unfortunately, since I had a job the year before I started LPN school, and my husband has a good job, I didn't get a free ride. I now have 7,200 in student loans from the LPN program and will have probably another 4,000 from the RN program.

I don't mean to be ugly, but just because school is paid for doesn't mean that it pays for your groceries or the things your kids need for the 11 1/2 months you are there. Mrs. D told us that financial hardship is the #1 reason people drop out of the program, and I believe it. Trust me, there is a definite divide between those getting everything taken care of during the school year and those who have to do it themselves.
