I went and it was awesome. I heard on the scanner last night that there was a fire out there so they are going to have to delay the grand opening by approximately 2 more months I think that is really sad

Funny how most of the employees who spen the last week or so packing and moving weren't thought enough of to get an invitation. Same ol HMA, walk over the ones who do the actual work in order to get to the press or politiciens.

Mark my words, it is the same old HMA. At least 75% of the employees who were honored to attend will also be honored with the unemployment line in 2-5 years. I am being generous in the time line, but as the lack of staff affects the Medicare payments, those darlings today will be blamed and fired or asked to resign. HMA never gets it, adequate staffing levels help patient and staff satisfaction.

I thought it was open to the public? Why would you need an invite for a public event?

The ones who are department heads, NP's and doctors got to put on their fancy prom dresses and rented tuxes to meet the real high rollers from Florida, the HMA bigshots and owners.
These are high society who don't shop at Grand March or rent tuxes, and know how to have a conversation without brown nosing, rambling or boring the pants off others. I did see the wives in real couture with REAL jewelry. They were gracious and elegant, not fat hicks in bedazzled prom dresses. You would not have wanted to be there, if anything goes wrong, it's the department heads that roll in nursing for sure...
We will be breaking ground later this year on our new hospital building at BRMC, and we will hire people, not fire people.

How about the prostitute looking chick in the red. Looked like a walking ghost with fake boobies. You can't tell me that wasn't a glorified prom dress. I did have an awesome time rubbing elbows with the heads of the company though!

It was a good time, but the butt kissing was pretty heavy!! I do agree with the previous post...some of those dresses couldn't hide all the makeup and fake smiles.

Einstein, a number of the so-called Coppertop big shot docs were there , smiling, laughing, and schmoozing with their fake fatass socialite wives. There will never be a real hospital at Coppertop. If there ever is another hospital in town, it will be Southeast, not that drowning-in-debt joke of a three-bed hospital.

Yes, I am sure PBRMC is financially solvent, lol. We refer all the private pay, medicaid and drug seekers we can to your fine hospital. The rest go to Cape or St. Louis and a new building won't change a thing!
The Coppertop doc's are closer to building than you think, we will have a better hospital not one stuffed with NP's & "Dr.'s" here on J-1 visa's.

Lol, I saw a bunch at the nail salon, and some things never change at that place!
I am really happy at BRMC, and not worked to death with a paltry paycheck . I am paid well, allowed to spend time with my pt.s & just not drowned in paperwork. I am treated as a human, & I have happy reliable co-workers with a really great group of doc's. I really do wish that for PBRMC employees, but unless HMA sets better staffing levels & better pay- it's not in your future

. Well dear you have made everyone's point with your post. They only hire crap staff and nurses that clearly can't get a job anywhere else. This new hospital will not be any better. They will have same nurses filled with drama and same cleaning crew that will keep it clean the first few months and it will be nasty again. We will keep going to cape or St. Louis.

I've been in the hospital here a few times and there are good and bad nurses. That is anywhere you go. I don't think ability is the problem but laziness and being short handed. I remember years ago at the old Lucy Lee, some of the nurses were mean and lazy too. I did hear that some of them got fired during changeovers.

I know a couple of young people who got hired on by the cleaning department and they were run all over the hospital while others (they said) were hiding from working and talking on their phones. So I don't wonder that the hospital needs a good cleaning. You will have slackards and smart alecks any where there is work. Not just the local hospital!

The King of Coppertop could not get himself board-certified. The Prince graduated from freaking St Bernard's in Jonesboro, which would be about like doing a residency at PBRMC. The J-1s that you bitch about are generally smarter and better trained than these rejects that you applaud. But this is not about inept docs. As far as profitability, you may want to double-check things. PBRMC is one of the country's most profitable rural hospitals--and the new one will be even more so. They make a ton from Medicare and Medicaid especially as rural health care. That is why they are expanding right here in Medicaidville. St. Francis pumps $$ into Medical Partners to keep it afloat. And they skim off the "good" patients and lure them home to Cape. They will never be able to financially compete with PBRMC. And as far as quality and operations, anyone with even an ounce of sense will motor up to Barnes for real care. So stay and jealously whine from your ugly ass closet of a hospital. It is your kind, led by the King and the Prince of Medicine, will ever have.
