All the best ones are gone, as in deceased..
Many of them didn't charge HALF what these guys do today and had a mountain more of experience in TRIAL CASES, instead of shuffling paper with settlements.

Mike Brookerson is a fine lawyer when he feel like working. If he does not know the answer to a particular problem, or is faced with a complex trial, he does not hesitate to bring in heavy-hitting co-counsel such as Jasper or Sam Spain. I heard that Jasper and Sam Spain teamed up to get Mike a large alimony settlement when he got divorced from his rich former wife. I would pick Mike B. if you can find him in the office because he seems to know all the powerful old lawyers and can get the help necessary to get the job done.

It's not a matter of knowing the old lawyers, it's whether the lawyer in question knows what he's doing...
A brilliant mind is key for certain because there's so much to know about trial law, but I'd say there's NO substitute for COURT ROOM experience!

My comment was aparently unclear. It IS about knowing the old lawyers and judges, cause that;s how cases get decided. The old lawyers are smart and experienced, and from their experience comes respect and relationships with the judges. If a brilliant mind were all it took, Mike B. would never need to call in Jasper and Sam Spain when the going got tough. He does, though, and his clients win, with Jasper and Sam's help.l
