has anyone ate their and is it high priced pizza and bbq restaurant sounds weird together. I might be willing to try it if I get good feed back. I heard and this is I heard that they could not stay open in Kennet because of the owner there so they moved to the bluff. Dont really care why they moved as long as it wasn't because of dirty nasty food.

Their sign says they have pizza, you can see where it was changed from just bbq to bbq and pizza.

I've been there 3 times here in the Bluff. Each time it was OK/Good, but nothing special or different in any way. I haven't tried their pizza.
They need to find a hook or they probably won't make it. I'm not excited about going back, but if a friend wants to go I sure wouldn't have any complaints about going there.

Has anyone seen that annoying rice burner running around town without a hood? It has a Porky's sign on top and is always rattling his trunk with thumpin bass. Talk about a tool. Bad advertising for the business, I won't ever eat there just because of that idiot.

We have eaten there quite a few times. Good food, HUGE pork steaks, great service, and the place is clean. I do suggest if you are going south on 67, you enter at the beauty parlor and drive around. Much easier to make that left turn than up by the firehouse. You don't want to get caught there if they get a call.

Yes, their service is excellent, but the food is only average. BBQ needs a smoked flavor, and theirs doesn't. Bummer.

Pizza? Didn't know they had it. Is it any good?

Porky's needs a food challenge to draw in customers, something people can talk about and put them on the map!

What are they gonna compete with, they are ok, but nothing about their food is unique. They dont smoke their own meat. They buy their bbq sauce from their supplier. They buy their potato salad, cole slaw, and mostly everything else from the supplier. So unless they plan on competeing with subway's bbq sandwich or that loyds shit at walmart, they are fucked. It is a good place to eat though, dont get me wrong, price is good, and service was good, place was clean too (but it is new).

Well, they obviously get it cheaper because they have a contract with their supplier like any other restraunt. But you could basically buy comparible stuff at walmart, and make it at home cheaper but dont get me wrong, i like the place, ill go back for lunch and stuff. However, unlike other bbq restraunts in town, they dont (as i said in previous post) smoke their own meat, make their own bbq sauce (the 2 things bbq places advertise to get ppl to even come there) and they dont make very much (if any) of their other sides. The sweet tea was good too.

My family ate at Porky's a few weeks ago and will not be back. The ribs were horrible--dried up and very little meat. The pork steak was large, granted, but not very tasty, and the barbeque sandwich was nothing special at all. The sides were not fresh and the service was very poor. I'll drive to Dexter for ribs and Rocky Top for barbeque sandwiches.
