Who would sign an online petition to ask the Sheriff to resign? He has cost us entirely too much money with his rouge ways. I normally do not post on this rude site. However I am tired of this man running amuck and acting as if he is so nice. He has admitted to by settling these law suits as being a whore monger, liar, cheating, unfaithful and a violent person.

I agree. Something should be done. How much is too much? I read in the DAR this week about a $75,000.00 law suit that was settled. Not to mention the $100,000.00 law suit (or was it more) that was settled a while back. This really reflects poorly on our town. Can't the coroner fire the sheriff? If so I wish he would.

I believe from what was in the paper, correct me if I'm wrong. This last lawsuit was against the department or all 3 of them for false arrest or failure to allow the person arrested rights he should of had as a prisioner. I would imagaine Dobbs had little or nothing to do with it except he is the sheriff. Sounds like the arresting officers or jailors were the ones to not allow the prisoner his rights. Its usually policy for the lawyers to sue the sheriff to, or boss in a business situation, because they are suppose to be in charge. Whether everyone was actually there or knew about it or not may not have come into play. I mean I see where he is or was supposed to be in charge but an employee can do things when the boss isn't around. I mean they will sue the manager of McDonalds too if an employee pisses in the gravey. A little different situation than the first lawsuit against only Dobbs, or Dobbs and the department.

I would like to know how dobbs can afford a Nice house, 3 nice cars, motorcycle, and nice trailer. Must be extorting money somewhere. He won't make it for another term, he will be voted out! Butler county is tired of a sheriff that just looks after himself.

Since when does the sheriff get out and run the roads. They pretty much do administrative work since moving into the new justice center. I've never seen a sheriff since Sam do anything but drive to work and eat lunch.

The lawsuit against the two deputies and the correctional officer was dropped and the settlement was with/against the sheriff. The two deputies may be the arresting officers of record, but the sheriff was on the scene that day and instructed the deputies to arrest Mr. Haga. This was not a case of the captain of the ship getting the punishment for the actions of his crew!

Dobbs got into a family dispute that he didn't belong in and came to Mr. Hagas house and arrested him for no reason and when Mr Haga tried to make his phone call he was denied, Then the judge called Dobbs and told him to release Mr. Haga and he pretty much told the judge to kiss his ass! Dobbs is the one to blame.. They didn't settle for $75,000 because they thought they could beat the case.. News flash town some cops are crooked!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Libra

You've been quite a gadabout in recent weeks, but as the Sun enters Capricorn at the Solstice, you start to yearn for the comforts of home. You might even be tempted to cancel some forthcoming social events, so you can flop on your sofa and catch your breath. Sentimental thoughts could steal over you in coming weeks, making you think about some of the people you used to know and love.
