You have got to be kidding.

Every time I come into town their parking lot is packed, so it can't be the economy.

NO WAY! They do the most business in PB!
I think it's funny how everyone is freaking out about all these businesses closing.
I'll believe it when I read it in the paper, not on Topix.

Why spread rumors that will further depleat the image of Poplar Bluff? We are losing tons of jobs, and tax dollars when we lose these business.
It may not directly impact you at this time but consider the tax dollars that are used for street improvements, school programs, etc; and think about where they come from and how the loss will be offset...Higher personal taxes...stop the negative image that is growing about our town.
We want to create a positive thriving image to those interested in bringing business to PB!!

How can you further deplete the image of this dumpy town. The reasons business are closing is that any good place we have no one goes too. Look at Doc's Knot in they say they are closed for the season I bet you 2 to 1 they never reopen. Do you really think Ruby's would have closed if they had business. When Ryans closes where will all the food hogs eat? I personally am glad Ryans is closing the food is nasty, the employees are not any better and it looks dirty inside.

Coltons is top of the line for around here, I highly doubt that they will be closing any time soon. Ryans, probably not. Around here people enjoy buffets not because they are "food hogs" but because money is short and people cant always afford to go to Coltons on their night out to dinner. As for Doc Knots or whatever, I have never heard of it and I have lived here for many years. Im sure that if there are others that never heard of it, that could be one reason for their closing. As for these rumors, its probably just some weird persons way of getting a couple of laughs watching how people freak out at knowing that a good thing is coming to an end. As for the ones who dont eat Ryans and think that it is nasty, dont drive your car into the parking lot, do not get out of the door, do not walk in and pay the lady, and by all means, do not walk to the buffet.

I agree, but, I wouldn't believe anything that anyone says on this web site anyways. you never know if what people say is true or just a vicious lie to bring someone down.

I'm pretty sure it was taken down because of the fact that this website states that you must be polite and that if a post is inappropriate it will be removed. so the probable conclusion to that would be that people were just being inappropriate and bad mouthing someone. which doesn't surprise me.
