I would like get a survy of how meny people thank the collage & high school basketball teams should playing at the coliseum.I have talk to the person who runs the coliseum and he said would like to have the high school and collage play there but he does not no say over the events. So I called the city manger and ask the same things and he told me they could but they would have to pay $17050 dollars to play there. The under standing I got is the or tax dollars paid for the it to be built And the high school and the put the wiring in for free. When it first opes all the high school and had to pay is $759 dollars and that was to pay the workers to put down and pick up the basketball court plus the coliseum go to keep all the money from the food and drinks that where sold durn the games.

um the colliseum should be used as a recreational facility and concert hall there is no reason to have traditional high school and college games playing there. they have their own gyms for these games and tax dollars went into building those to... they already have prom at the colliseum i don't get that either other then having more room and better lighting. there is no need to have those games at the colliseum keep them at home in their own gyms!!!!

first off. learn grammer. lol i have no clue what you are even talking about except you talked to 2 ppl from the coliseum and it would cost alot for the basketball teams to play here.
secondly. ya..we should have the coliseum as a straight concert hall. obviously we can get good bands to play here. it went from switchfoot to that comedian woman, and larry the cable guy, and red, papa roach, seether, and that other band that i forgot about lol so we have potential to be a big city but for some reason, we arent. maybe the government should take the time to make it a bigger city. we are the biggest town there is around here unless you go to cape.

Big cities are not all they are cracked up to be. Keep the small town charm, but thats just my opinion.

OK here is a non-smart assed reply.

That building was built to be a community center and was purposely over-built with A FREAKING BASKETBALL COURT!!!!!!! ooops maybe that was smart assed. Since they do have the best facility for that, they should at least utilize it. I think they should bend over backwards to accomodate TRCC, big high school games such as PB vs. Twin Rivers, PB vs. Doniphan, & as many conference tourneys as possible.

Right now it is nothing but a glorified bingo hall with an occasional band stopping by if they happen to have an off day and logistically we happen to be in between the previous city and the next city.

They should definately be utilizing it for the big baskeball games. 3R's big home games, Mules big games, and especially the PB Showdown tournament. For a sports fan, it is emabrrasing not being able to utilize that facility. You would not believe the positive comments we used to get from out of town teams about how great the colesium was. But, as usual with PB, if you are not lining the correct persons pockets with money...

i think the damn thing is too fucking small and is a piece of shit, they need to use that thing to make some money insted of it sitting there looking stupid and wasting our tax dollars, if they had some type of thing there every week, that would be more jobs and more entertainment in this small, bullshit town, any time something goes on there, its allways packed (because its too small) who ever runs that is stupid and like other ppl said, our tax dollars built it, and if more bands and stuff came to play, that would be money to hire ppl to get it ready for the sports and other things, just like the superdomes and stuff in "THE BIG CITY" btw, dude's grammer sucks balls

Are you retarded or something? Do you actually think that a significant amount of people would be able to afford to buy tickets to something every week or even once a month? I dont think so
