Lots of walmart workers will be striking on black friday/thursday this year, but I doubt anyone from this area would have the balls required for that type of organizing.

Target stores are wanting to strike because black Friday is starting Thursday. They are getting petitions signed. I didn't hear anything about Wal Mart though.

I got a ideal if they don't want to work how about they go strike the unemployment line. Everyone know Walmart is open 363 1/2 days a year !!!and most people ask to work on the holiday. Walmart is very good to their employee if you don't know this you've never worked there. If every employer treated their employees like Walmart. The world would be a better place to work And the union would die and just maybe the price of American made products would be once again affordable.

(Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc's U.S. employees will pay between 8 and 36 percent more in premiums for its medical coverage in 2013, prompting some of the 1.4 million workers at the nation's largest private employer to say they will forego coverage altogether.

maybe that's why some of the cashiers are so mean at comping ads. People should boycott and go to the store that has the sales and not comp anything. It wouldn't take long and something would change.

If you ain't happy working for Walmart it's your own fault !!!! I dated a co manager that works at a Walmart in the city hints her store has more business and she makes 85,000$ a year. Below is the current Walmart info for Missouri stores. I am sure that there are a lot of retail workers in PB that wish they made $12.52 an hr like the average Walmart worker makes.

Missouri Walmart Info
Number of Associates in Missouri: 41,876
Average wage of Missouri Associates:$12.52*
*For regular, full-time hourly associates in Walmart Discount Stores, Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets, as of October 31, 2012

Obviously you do not comprehend the numbers. It is the corporate average whether you have been there 30 years or started yesterday.

My speculation is that if the Poplar Bluff Wal Mart employees don't show up for work Friday, there will be a lot of unemployed folks in town. Wal Mart is serious and if the employees want their job, they'll be there on time.
