I was just there today and was not impressed at all. The food was alright, not great by any means. The service was a little to be desired as well. Trying to be a fancy bbq place in PB when we have other places that put them to shame as far as BBQ. Umm, I think soom of the gas stations make better ribs than they do.
the prob is just like you said poplar bluff, if you have ever ate at the one in jackson it is good, we have the worst applebees, couldn't keep ruby Tuesday going cause thw svc got so bad, its just a given I guess that's why the Mexican and Chinese keep going they are not from here, with exception of coltons,

We got a few racks of ribs and thought they were good. Got the day old stuff too. For 20 bucks it was well worth it, considering we spend that much at mc D's or any other fast food.

I dont think they are quite as good as Dexter's, but if it saves me a 40 min drive it is definitely good enough.

We got take out, i cant comment on the service.

We had lunch at the Branding Iron this past weekend. It was OK, but definitely not the best BBQ I've ever tasted. I wish that Bandana's, which has locations in St. Louis, Springfield, Columbia, Jefferson City, and I think some locations in Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana, as well as possibly some other Missouri locations, would open up a location in Poplar Bluff. They are probably the BEST BBQ fixins I've ever had, bar none.

I'm glad there is another BBQ place here. From all the complaints, I don't know if I would want to go there. If a business wants to succeed, it should strive to be the best. I remember going to a new restaurant and finding an insect leg in my food. They made it right, but I never went back. The manager should spend enough time making a business the best and getting rid of the weak links.

Ate there today. Catfish dinner. Catfish was tough and stringy. Hush-Puppies were not much bigger than a marble and raw in center. Baked potato was hard and gummy. Baked beans were cold. Had to try and eat with one hand and shoo flys with the other. Never seen so many damn flys. Will not be going back.

Sorry restaurants serving sorry food love fat headed blubber-guts like you. Keeps them in business. Wish you had been there at the same time I was eating. The flys would have congregated around your head.

Eh. I haven't eaten there because I don't like their attitudes. I tried to apply for a job there when they first opened, and they were just really rude to me. I haven't spent a dime there because of it. If they would have been polite and would have given me at least a shred of feedback, then I wouldn't have held it against them.

I agree, but I know they have gotten all new management and almost a whole new staff! I went in today and they were all so polite!

they are not that good, they treat their staff terriable, they fire good employees that actual care and try to make it a better work environment and dining experience. But if you dont wanna show up, or when you do spend your time on your phone and if your a manager spend it in the office!!The parking lot is always empty.

I think it is deceitful when they advertise meals under $6. My friend ordered one of these "meals" and it was a baked potato with very lilt BBQ meat on it. Our service was not friendly nor attentive. The last time i was ther i had soggy oily chips and the got my sandwhich wrong. This was the 3rd time I tried it and I am still not impressed. We will not be back and we did talk to the server, when we finally had her at the table.
