I was shopping in these stores the other day and could not believe how rude these employees are to their customers. I was looking around in Maurices and one of the ladies who worked there showed me a rack of jeans that was on sale, she was very friendly. After I had tried a few pair on I didn't care for any of them so another girl who worked there tried to show me a different kind of jeans. She did everything but come right out and tell me that I was too fat for the type of jeans that I had tried on. VERY RUDE! Needless to say I left without buying anything and went down to Rue 21. There I heard another lady who was shopping in the store ask one of the girls who worked there if they had a certain kind of jeans in another size. The girl told her," I don't know you will just have to look, they are spread out all over the store." The girl then walked away and pulled her cell phone out of her back pocket and started talking on it. I can't believe the way customers are treated this day and time. Years ago this would never have happened. Customers were treated with respect.

I have had bad experiences at quite a few of the stores in that strip mall. There is a lot of people needing jobs that would be happy and treat costumers with respect.I refuse to go into those stores,I will just do my shopping on Ebay and Amazon.Or try this store http://www.zappos.com/index0.zml

I have to agree. A lot of the trendier stores seem to hire employees that have an attitude and don't know how to treat people. I guess it's because they are young, but that's where the schools are failing. What happened to manners?

They seem to be stuck up little brats that only want the job for the discount because mom and dad pay all their bills.

That's where the schools are failing? To teach manners?

If I showed up at school and didn't have manners, I paid the price when I got home. Schools do not teach manners. Parents do.

The PARENTS are failing. Kids should be taught manners and respect at home.

Rue 21 help spends all their time on their cellphones and don't care about helping anyone. I will not go back there till the help changes and the help cares about helping. Put your phone away when you are at work. The business is not paying you to be on the phone. Act like you care about your job.

no I am not mad because she was right, I am a small person but not skin and bone! That is beside the point, you should never speak to a customer that way for any reason. This girl was just plain rude and wasn't so small herself!

YES, schools should teach manners along with the usual subjects. If you think otherwise, go to a school and watch the kids disrespect the teachers and each other. Kids spend more time at school/school functions than they do at home during the school year.

In addition, if these young women were taught properly in the schools, they wouldn't need to work at these clothing stores selling foreign made goods to Americans.

You don't get it do you?I'm sick of you hateful trolls saying stupid crap on every post.Get a life.

And I totally agree, the school is responsible for the children while the children are in school. And part of going to school is not only to learn math, reading and so on but also to learn social skills and respect to get them ready for the world.

Rue 21 is nothing but a cheap, knock-off store anyway. Sounds like the employees are too.

Cows like you make it easy for trolls to say stupid things. You are fat. Just admit it and move on. Mooooooo.

And no, the schools are NOT responsible for teaching manners and social skills. That is the parent's job. Lazy people like you always expect others to raise their kids for them. I bet you're probably on welfare too aren't you?

I shop at Rue21 on a regular basis and if anything the employees have asked me for help more than I would even like. They also chime in a friendly hello to almost everyone coming in. Maybe people complaining expect a personal shopper to help them find size 17 skinny jeans that don't give them a muffin top in their size small shirt they're trying to squeeze in to. Or maybe the shopper is the one with a bad attitude, I've seen plenty of that in there.
