Just wondering if any other children have had a problem with coach chronister.I have heard several kids complaining about how mean she is and she has even said a few cuss words this year when she wasn't happy with the kids. Why is this lady so hateful and why is she allowed to continue to work with children?

my (5th grade) daughter says they cant walk in the gym...ever! she was at vb practice and thought it was cool that she got to walk across to go get a drink. i was confused so i looked at my older daughter (7th grade) and she just said that coach c is mean like that..this coming from a girl who is every teachers fav and has never even pulled a card!
i guess its no worse than the 3 grown women bullying the 1st grader at oneal while he sat in the floor crying while they all called him a liar and told him that NO ONE LIKES A LIAR. when that wasnt enough he was made to stand in front of the class while the teacher asked his classmates if they liked liars.."noooo" she looked at him all smug and smiled. he then just sat at his desk and cried. breaks my heart and makes me so mad to think of that day. wont name any names but it was a teacher that dresses a bit too provocative for the carreer shes in. we know you have breasts...we dont want to see them and neither does my 1st grader.

What in the world is wrong....with the world??

So teachers can't get boob jobs? And for the lady that used to work in the Dr.'s office where teachers financed thier boob jobs. Remember, the doctor that employed you got to where he is b/c of teachers.

Ok first there is already a thread for boob jobs so go discuss it on that thread. This is was obviously not started for the boob job discussion.I have heard all kinds of negative things about this P.E. teacher from kids mainly and a few adults who have witnessed her in action my question is to the adults if you have heard and seen this negative treatment towards kids why do you not do something about it? Repot her or call her out on it If I am ever a witness to any of this I will be sure to do so.

It is so easy to go here and gripe, but why is it so difficult for people to address the problem if you have concerns take care of it yourself. Why try to pull other peoplein and get them to support you. Your not goig to get your concerns address by typing a question. Dont you have enough self confidence to talk with her about your concerns?????? She is stern and expects rules to be followed. I played for her in highschool when she coached and she wants respect and you were taught you earn it as well.....So it worked for me.

I am so sick of people coming on here after a topic gets started and if they don't agree with it or like it telling people to shut up and not discuss it on here is that not what this forum is for.I know there is a problem with this lady I went to school with her and she never has been the nicest or had the best diposition with people I think when you are owrking with 5th and 6th graders you should not expect the same performance out of them as you would a high school or even jr high student.

Anyone in this town knows it is not going to do a bit of good to complain to the teacher or the school they just make it that much harder on your child if you open your mouth and yes I know what I am talking about This town is very unfair and it is very sad.

I tell you what, if that were my child I would be addressing the problem with the proper authority at the school or the teacher myself, I dont care who she is or thinks she is. Those are elementary children, not athletes. I have heard some stories myself and thought it was ridiculous. If after I went to someone or even the lady myself and that didnt resolve the issues, I would be up talking to the administrators and something WOULD be done.

Thats the problem, too many times parents are afraid to voice a concern or go to someone and thats why it continues. These are OUR children and just because they are in their hands for x amount of hours a day dont give them a right to treat them like they are treated sometimes. Now, dont get me wrong, not all teachers are like this, there are some Awesome teachers that are #1 in my book. But I would be letting someone know real fast how they will and will not be around my child, and I have done this before, and I did make my point.

Thanks for posting something with some common sense! I agree with you and am glad to see that you DON'T believe all teachers are the same. Thank you from one educator who would never act in that manner.

So is it ok for men to finance motorcycles, boats, buy new bows, guns or hunting equipment on credit?? Then a woman wants to finance her "toy" and you want to criticize?? They work, they obviously provide you a job too, because if you are working for a plastic surgeon, then I'd say you should be more appreciative toward these working women who are looking to enhance themselves.

First of all, I am going to correct the lies and misconceptions in these posts. There was a child that died in PE several years ago, however, according to her Dr.(and this is personal knowledge, I was at the hospital) she had a virus in her heart that was undiagnosed and it would not have mattered where she was or what she was doing, her heart would have stopped working due to the virus. She had just ran a warm-up lap when this happened. Those are facts. Secondly, fourth graders have never been required to run a mile. As a matter of fact, the 5th and 6th graders are not required to run a mile until fitness testing that is STATE MANDATED. This is also a run/walk. It is the STUDENTS' choice to run or walk. These students run 3 minutes the first quarter, 5 minutes the second quarter, 7 minutes the third quarter and 10 minutes the last quarter. Students' ALWAYS have the choice to walk if they cannot run. Coach Chronister cannot make anyone do what they do not want to do, but she always gives every child the opportunity to excel. Sometimes it may be hard, but anything worthwhile is worth the effort. Isn't that a lesson we want our kids to learn? Honestly, this is a PE class...do you expect kids to be in the gym and not move? Even the kids in all the elementary schools run laps. O'Neal and Lake Road give tokens to put on a necklace for the number of miles they run during the year. When these kids get to Junior High, they are required to have PE everyday and also run the mile. Isn't it great that we have teachers that prepare them for this class, just like we prepare our kids for any other subject? Coach Chronister has taught and coached both of my children and I have never heard her "cuss" in front of kids. The majority of kids at the 5th and 6th grade center love her, but you know it is just like any other subject or teacher, you are going to have kids that do not like certain activities or teachers. And it is usually these people that yell he loudest. That is life. I hate this site and vowed I would never stoop to the level of using it, however, I am sick of seeing cowards get on her and bad mouth people without any facts. Of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but NO ONE should be allowed to slander people in our community with lies. I also doubt that any of you have gone to administrators over any of this because Coach Chronister is very respected by both her peers and administrators and she has their full support. There is a difference between mean and strict. You all are mean...she is strict. That is what we need today so that our children will grow up and be respectful and productive. With all of the terrible things that are going on in our world today, one would think that you can find issues that are really meaningful to speak about.
