None of that trash is really relevant anymore. How about Venom, Cynic, Morbid Angel, or the foreign stuff like Kreator or perhaps have you ever heard of um... Cannibal Corpse. Geez why didn't you just put Papa Roach on the list. You're only listing the radio crap for the most part. Metal is far to broad a genre to try and define the greatest of all time but if one were going to I'd say your list is very narrow.

Guns and Roses? Are you frikkin high man????
I voted Slayer!!! Still out there making albums and kicking ass! Metallica sold out years ago.
Venom? Ha, are they even still producing albums? Kronos....funny, I forgot about Venom. We're talking early to mid 80's here dude. Honestly, they we ok at best. I liked Mercyful Fate better. Amazing arrangements, King Diamond took some getting used to though.
Testament put out some good stuff. First couple albums anyway. Anyone remember Hallows Eve?
Megadeth has always been good, but last few album really all sound alike with nothing innovative or great about them.
Cannibal Corpse, I like em, but kinda tired of the growley singer thing that took off for metal. I guess that why I still love Slayer after all these years. Best part of Ace Ventura Pet Detective was when he got up on stage with Cannibal Corpse!!! LOL
Iron Maiden died right after Powerslave. Paul DiAnno, early Maiden is the chit. I dunno about Bruce, turned it all into some metal opera crap. Saw the 3 times back in the 80's when they were awesome!
Disturbed had a few good songs, that was about it.
Papa Roach, still not sure if I consider that Metal.
Overkill was aight...never got into it much
I like Soul Fly!!! and Sepulatura for that matter...
Look up Helstar on youtube
And Yngwie Malmsteen, he's still doing stuff...

Zeppelin and Rush were neither one "metal". They were considered hard rock, even by the standards of their era.

THEY BOTH WON AWARDS FOR BEST METAL BAND IN THEIR TIME AND WERE PIONEERS OF HARD ROCK AND YES METAL. iT'S REALLY JUST A LABEL. BUT I DO KNOW WITH OUT THESE BANDS KIDS TODAY WOULDN'T BE HEARING THE STUFF TODAY. AND ONE OF THOSE BANDS ARE STILL TOURING AND MAKING NEW MUSIC AND PRETTY MUCH BEING IGNORED TODAY!

I didn't say they weren't amazing bands. I love listening to both of them. I just never really considered either one to be "metal", but I stand corrected.

True metal bands are not that well known, unfortunitly.
