You have to pay a processing fee for the coupons...they are a scam. Also, the vacation is a scam...it is a timeshare and you have to pay aprocessing fee for that one as well. The knives are cheap walmart knives and as far as never needing to be sharpened, thats a complete lie made up from the company to sell the product to you and they do not have a life time warrenty as promised. The warrenty is through t&t so when u send it in, they will never answer. I know all this because I used to be an employee.

Price we paid for it was way too much 2700 and the local dealer said it was an humidifier and great for asthama sufferes. It is a vacuum .He also said guaranteed for life another lie now being told by Hyla usa only motor for five years all parts for only six months. The problem is the selling of dealers to folks that in our case were dishonest as they were investigated by kktv local news as well.I do not feel it is worth money especially since I now discover can buy on ebay for a fraction.Having now been in sales and Army for 25 years people respond way they were trained so my argument is quit advertising it as a humidifier and sell for an honest price. And for you honest folks good luck but in Rocky Mount NC had bunch of crooks.

<quoted text>In answer to your question about how the dust gets in there is when you use it and pick up alot of dirt it turns to mud in the bottom of the basin. As it thickens up the water the water level lowers allowing dust to make it past the water. The heps filter keeps it from getting back out of the machine. There are instructions in your book about removing the hepa filter and cleaning it. Remove the filter and let water run through it. Let it sit overnight and dry. Reinstall the filter and let it run on LOW for 24 hours. If you get the filter wet and then run it on high before it completely dries it will blow a hole through it. Make sure the water separator on the bottom of the machine is clean also. There is a small toothbrush there to do that with. That could also cause dust to escape the water. Hope this helps. To my knowledge and I may be wrong Hyla doesn't have a hepa. Again, I may be wrong on that.
. The dust you see inside your rainbow is fine particles like ash or drywall that is lighter than air as well as dust that gets through as rainbows separator doesn't do the job as well as HYLA's. You are correct that by using a hepafilter it reduces it's airflow. The hyla has a bigger motor as well...it's not that you have a bad vacuum...I believe the HYLA is superior, but that fine dust can get into the hyla as well...put a couple tablespoons of veg oil in the water and that will help catch the fine dust like ash and drywall.

You are absolutely correct in your analysis,,, the business model is an old flim-flam technique developed in the 50's. Advertise big $ for lead generation mules while promising major cash "base pay" but with an 'unattainable'(they'll give you the old "somebody's done it somewhere shimmy-sham, gotta see it our way approach:) pre-requisite for leads by knocking on doors asking for business via a canvassing type of approach. 50 door to door leads must be generated, then 12 qualified demonstrations with 72 referrals... and this is Every week in order to qualify for the 625...:-). They don't even know that they don't know. This is an old Predatory hiring technique, reborn within the ranks of new-bees (young managers/trainers;), unaware of the history of the old, out-dated but re-surfaced/repackaged flim-flam, bait and switch lead generation system used on the weak and vulnerable folks just needing a job.
Scammers should pay wrote:
My son started working for this company, and the first week was unpaid training. He has bust his butt and made two sales his first two days of actually doing demos, but the boss has him burning gas like there is no tomorrow, sending him 50-150 miles away to do door registrations, in which no one will open the door for him. That's their way of not having to pay the promised salary in my opinion.
He is ready to give up today, and just try harder to find a regular job. He feels what he has made in commissions is going right out on gas, and it is. Now I hear how many didn't get their commissions. Let me tell you, he better get his commissions on the two he sold, OR I will be on that bitch bosses doorstep monday morning. She will pay or I will make my next stop at the lawyer. I know both the people he sold to, and thus have the witnesses that he sold them the product.
It's looking to me like all of the consumers that have been scammed, and the employees that have been scammed need to see a lawyer about a class action suit.

It's a shame that people are having problems with the salesmen of this company. Are you all sure they are authorized retailers? If I had problems like this, I would be contacting their corporate office. There's no way a business would like to be represented by bad salesmen/retailers like that.

My relative purchased one a few years back and absolutely loved it. He passed away not long ago, and I inherited it. I remember him telling me it cleaned the air..and when he showed me, it did make the room smell nice which I thought was super cool. Before I had it, I purchased a Kirby vacuum (which by no means are cheap) that uses bags. All in all it is a good vacuum since it does seem to have much more sucking power than those cheaper brands you buy at sears or wherever. However, when I would vacuum with it before friends and family came over they would have to leave within 30 minutes since their allergies would act up to severely..even with their allergy medication.(I have two pets)They actually could stay longer when I didn't vacuum.:(

Now that I received this hyla, I thought I would try it out...I hadn't seen any sales pitches or claims of 'how it's different than other vacuums', but figured if the dust/dirt would be trapped in water, maybe it wouldn't stir up the allergens like a bag vacuum. Come to find out, NO allergic flair ups!!!!:DD I can actually have people over.

I remember reading something in one of the above comments at how the 'hyla must spit out dirty air'...No offense, but I'm pretty sure you're just negative from your bad salesman situation. It seriously is perfect. My home smells nicer, allergens are down, and it vacuums wonderfully. But thank goodness I inherited it...I wouldn't be able to afford purchasing it new. I heard my relative purchased it for $2500. Yikes. But for you that can afford it: is seriously a superb vacuum in every aspect so far...no complaints here.

A representative had came out to my house about 6 months ago and he gave us our trip certificate. Yes, there was a $50 processing fee but my wife and I finally got to take our weekend get-a-way to Florida. When we got there the Hotel was amazing. They did ask us if we wanted to sit through a timeshare(which we were worried about) but we just said "No" and we were on our way. I suggest if you are going to bash something, make sure you know what exactly you are bashing. P.s we love our Hyla and we recommend it to everyone!

The Hyla is a good product though not worth near the 2495 they retail it for. They are a scam company n rip off their employees me being one of them. Also u need to research the triathaline glycol it is fragranced antifreeze not like the chemicals they put in drs offices. Actually harmful to your lungs google it yourself. Just saying reps dont know any better are being told to tell consumers alot of lies which after they rip you off you find out are just that lies.

I suffered thru the same experience. Spent 638 of my own money on gas etc for 6 wks running me 60-80 hrs a wk to not get paid a dime... reported to BBB and attny general. The people stalked me following me with grandkids in car and also blocked me in my driveway after threatening me at my door and I had to call police. What owners of any company that is legit does that? Insane...

This company scammed me completely. I became an employer for them for 1 full week of unpaid training, and they get you amped up about the product, send you home to friends and family to do "practice" demonstrations in which they forcefully and tactfully try to sell to your friends and family, make a few thousand dollars, and recycle new employees every week. Terrible, unprofessional, dishonest people with a poor business model. All the other locations I have tried to contact in the Salt Lake City valley have all been changed or disconnected. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT BUY OR WORK FOR THESE FOOLS!

I've owned a hyla for 7 years. What a piece of junk. The electric hose broke the first year. The distributor and corporate would promise to send a new one. But neither ever did. I've been looking to replace it myself and hyla parts are impossible to get. The machine workse well. But the does no good with a bad hose. I've continued to repair the hoses myself to get by. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Stay away from the hyla.
