Not even close to the same company. I am a Rainbow dealer and our machines are made in Cadillac, Michigan. The hyla is made in China. Two different machines, two different technologies.

Your statement is ridiculous. I am selling HYLAs in MO for almost 7 years now and never heard from my customers that it stinks! Of course if you leave the dirty water in the water pan for several days instead of emptying it after you vacuumed than that dirty water stinks of course. But that is common sense to empty it!?! Also if you need it fixed you can always contact the US Headquarters. www.hyla-us.com

This comment is for "guest" in Oklahoma. What kind of crap are you posting? Either you are a liar or you have no idea what you are writing!!! I am a HYLA Distributor for more than 6 years and before was selling Rainbows for more than 10 years. HYLA is not a made in CHINA product!!! HYLA International HQ is located in Germany and their production is located in Slovenia (next to Austria) HYLA International is in business since 1990 and since 1996 in the US. The company is also 9001 certified and one of the main benefits is that it is the only water vacuum with a seperator that does not to be cleaned like a Rainbow, Roboclean, etc. I can also tell you that all parts are available if not through a Distributor but always from the US Headquarters. The great thing is that the service I have to do with the HYLA is much less than with Rainbows and I am talking from experience. The technology with all respect to Rainbow is much more advanced with the HYLA. I suggest to educate yourself before you post such comments.

Whatever dude. Have been in or around Rainbow for as long as I can remember and have more Hyla trade ins then anything else. My customers and yours agree on one thing and that is water is the only way to go. However, I have more Hyla trades in the store than anything else. I got the Hyla mistaken with the Delphin which is made in China. My bad. At least my Rainbow is American made. Anytime you want to put your Hyla against my Rainbow I will be happy to suck the water in reverse through your Hyla. It is cheap made, hell your floor tool wands are so weak they bend when you use them. Quality? I hate to call you out but I have a friend who is a hyla dealer and wishes he could go back to Rexair but his kids were undercutting the price bad business. However, he wishes he was in Rexair instead of Hyla. Guess what he cleans his house with? You guessed a Hyla dealer who uses a Rainbow. Lol

As far as how well the Hyla works, I believe to be great! Yes, there are things the sales person will up play, to try to sell you on the product, just like any other sales person, its their job. As far as all the extra stuff, like the vacation, and discounts, more times than not the sales person is telling you exactly what they know, because when they are in training, this is what they were taught to say. I worked for the Poplar Bluff store, when I first started I totally believed in what I was doing, yes, it is a great product, yes it does what they say it will do, it does clean the air, and a really great job of cleaning the floors, if you use it like they say you should! The problems that I had were not with the product, but with the owner of the store, Daniel Miller, from West Plains. I have never worked for someone that is so dishonest, judgemental, and unethical in my life! I expected a little more from a Preacher, and when it was all said and done, I realized that I had been taken for a ride, just like some of the customers that have voiced their complaints on here. I reported to Danile that I had been sexually harrassed by the office manager. I was not looking to get this manager fired, but I did want an apology. I not only DID NOT get an apology but I was also fired! And all but called a whore, because my husband and I we at the time having some problems. I had given so much to this company, I had let the some of Daniels family stay at my house for several months and loaned my car out to several dealers to go do demos, not to mention I was not paid half of the time because the business was just getting started, now I look back and think to myself "how stupid could I have been". Well, Daniel Miller, you got what you deserved, the business failed. I just wish that I had not had just a big part in taking advantage of the customers, to the customers that feel like they have been done wrong, I am very sorry.

I dont sell the Hylas but I do use one and im gona buy one as soon as i can afford one. I dont think you people are listening to everything they are telling you. you are not guarnanted a free trip you could get one of the other gifts that they offer and YOU do not get to choose. full price without tax is $2395.00 tax is different everywhere. you also do not get paid if you do not meet your quota and they explain that in the week long tranning. you people only hear free then you tune out. you have to read everything before you sign it and on you guys that are not paying cash, check cc, money order- the ones that are making payments hyla does not call you for those payments. the credit company that accepts you is who you are making your payments too. we have no controll over them and one more thing we do not sell door to door the only thing we do door to door is surveys thats it. we make appointments with you before going to your home to demo or sell!

Recently purchased a Hyla and really like it. It's versatility as a air purifyer, vacuum, and carpet cleaner is pretty clever. So far the Sedalia office seems first rate. Too bad that a few rotten apples always seem to spoil the barrel...such is life isn't it. Do your homework, be wary, and maybe just maybe you will emerge a satisfyed customer. I wish ya'll could have had my experience I truly do.

Should have gotten a rainbow. It is the only certified air cleaner. The rest are just copies. Did your Hyla come with a certificate from ahem stating it was an approved and certified air purification system?

I have Hyla and love it. There are things I'd change like the curve and the end of the hose, at least be able to take it off and a longer hose would be great. However, I love my Hyla. It does what I want and doesn't leave dust in the air. I put a little white vinegar in the water for a 'soap. in the water for cleaning the Hyla when I'm done with it to help with residue and odor. Mine doesn't ever stink unless I leave water in it. I have dogs on carpet and the Hyla does a pretty good job of getting that up.

I have a problem though. There doesn't seem to be a dealer in Colorado Springs OR Denver for the Hyla. I need a water canister as I broke mine on a corner of a wall. It was my fault as the machine got hung up and I pulled too hard to release it. Where can I get another one? I don't want to replace the whole unit. I know a guy who sells the Rainbow and has reconditioned units to sell. If the canister is too expensive, I might have to go that way. The HYLA in Colorado Springs has come under scrutiny as the business dealings of the owners was shoddy at best. I learned this after I bought the machine. It was in the papers. They're gone now, but no one can get parts.
So, I"m asking for help replacing my canister. Please!

[email protected] will get the email if you will.

Thanks,

I worked for Rainbow for years and have heard all of the sales tactics. As a matter of fact it was my job to teach them to new dealers. There are some people out there who will do anything to get a sale and I am sorry for those who have been duped into something they cannot afford or not given what they were promised. It is my understanding that Hyla is good for doing such things. The local Rainbow office in Poplar Bluff is owned and operated by Bryan and Michelle Cole. They are a decent couple with a good moral character. I can do nothing but speak well of them. I wish your daughter in law had gotten hooked up with them instead. You would have had a better experience and a better vacuum.

The factory is in Germany. The Hyla stores I know about are never in business long and their customers are left with a machine they can't get parts for. I would try ebay for your basin. Our Rainbow basin is made from the same materials that bullet proof vests are made of. You may consider selling your Hyla and purchasing a Rainbow as there are service centers globally. Sorry for your hassle maybe ebay can help. I have reconditioned rainbows that I ship also so maybe I can help you out if you decide to go that route.

I have a Hyla and need a canister. It's 4 years old and works fine. I broke it and no fault of the company. I love it and the air is much cleaner than a regular filter unit. No dust,... ever, except for the furnace. Where can I buy a canister? No stores now in Colorado.

[email protected] Please respond there. Thanks!!!!!!!

I am selling HYLAs in Florida since more than 5 years and I am very good connected with HYLA U.S. HQ in Deerfield Beach, FL. I was previously a GSD for the local Rainbow Office. I never imagined to sell another product than the Rainbow but realized that HYLA has a lot of benefits. The HYLA seperator is the only one on the market that does not need to be cleaned, like Rainbow's seperator, the water pan of the HYLA is much easier to empty than Rainbow's, the power nozzle is by far more advanced and is easier to use since it got a swivel neck. I could go on and on with all the advantages of the HYLA! Also being involved in both products I can say that HYLA is not only more advanced and easier to use but also much more reliable. My previous Rainbow Distributor made a lot of money with spare parts and repairs. Regarding availability of parts and contact I know for a fact that every part is available at the HYLA U.S. HQ, if there is no local Distributor. I do not understand that customers have a problem to find HYLAs phone number since it is printed on the Warranty Card and also in the Owner's Manual. In addition you look for HYLA on the Internet and you will find HYLA U.S. right away.

I just read the comments of "guest". He probably still believes in Santa Claus, never finished High School, does not read the newspaper or watch TV, with other words is a stupid, ignorant Vacuum Cleaner Sales person. By the way Mr. "Guest": Bullett proof vests are made of Kevlar!!! The Rainbow water basin is made of Kevlar!?! LOL. Keep on selling used Vacs. Rexair is for sure not proud of people like you "mis"representing their product and misleading customers.

You need to go and do some homework before you talk out your ass. I am a certified rainbow dealer not a used vacuum salesman. I have a storefront that I sell new and used Rainbows from. My point is that the only way to get a warranty on a rainbow is to buy from a certified licensed dealer which i am. Why don't you call Rexair and ask them what their water basin is built from and then get on here and talk some more. Nobody is misleading or misrepresenting their product or customers. I happen to be in their Rexevents magazine each and every month that is issued globally so I must be doing something right. Again don't show up to a battle of wits unarmed it only makes you look like a jackass.

I love my Hyla!! It works great. It sounds like everyone is complaining about buying something they couldn't afford, or a personality conflict with the sales person. I have less dust and my floors get super clean. I would recommend it to anyone. I wasn't offered a free vacation but I did receive a free shampooing system for recommending 4 people for demos. It was way worth it!
