So they have this new rule where if you have 5 people shopping with you, and you buy alcohol for yourself, you have to provide them with ID's for EVERYONE. What kind of crap is this? I went in there with a friend who is nearing his 30s and he left his ID at home and I wasn't even allowed to buy the bear for myself! I don't even live in Poplar Bluff, so I said I'd take him home and come back... OH NO, NO, NO!! Can't do that... they done seen me with an old man who couldn't prove his old age at the time, so I am not allowed to buy beer for the rest of the night... HOW STUPID IS THAT?? They will sure lose business.
that is what they call Third party. it has been a rule for a long time. if the person who goes to buy the alcohol (or cigarettes) and doesn't have his id, the person with him can't buy the alcohol regardless of the if shown.

<quoted text>Actually if they card you or the whole group well then show your cards or go on . nobody that works there has to put their job on the line for you .the person working there will make the judgement call to card you or not . if you don't like it go some where else . It's the law and it will do you no good to argue with it .anybody that looks forty and under there's a big chance you might get carded !!!!!!! think about it .
well actually I don't drink never have so I was only asking a real question based on what was said. No smart ass question just a genuine one

Ive had this same problem there to. There's only a few that get anal about it. My husband and I went one night and the cashier asked for both our IDs. My husband replied "does she pay half too" the lady didn't like that at all. Lol she said it wasn't to late to refuse us. So I told her give is back our money and we would go elsewhere. To my surprise she didn't but was so rude!

Well believe it I live in a place with k-mart,target,cvs,walgreens,sh opping malls,6 different auto parts stores,7 large grocery stores and many more options and none are more than 10 ninutes from my house so why would i even consider going to wal mart.My boycott started in the late 70's and im proud to say i have never graced the doors of a wal mart.

Okay then, lol if you would live in POPLAR BLUFF where this discussion is then you would know that there's basically nothing but a Walmart there. Sure there is Kmart and Walgreens, but they don't have a huge selection of anything. If you don't go to Walmart that's your own personal opinion, I don't care.

My policy is that if the cashier looks under 40 then I ask for ID to be certain that person is old enough to sell me alcohol. If I am not asked for ID then I don't ask them for theirs.

Lmao wow. Okay first, you don't have to be 21 to sell alcohol at Walmart because they have a permit for anyone over the age of 18 to sell it, so why would the cashier have to give you an ID?

ID?
When I got me a parking space opens up. I could car in the middle of the cashier have a handicap permit. Now I could care less who is behind me. Lmao wow. Okay first, you don't have to sell alcohol at Walmart because the lane until a parking space opens up. I could they have to sell alcohol at Walmart because they have to sell it, so why would the lane until a parking space opens up. I can set my car in the age of 18 to sell it, so why would car in the middle of they have to sell it?
