There was a guy is name was Donny killed in a motorcycle accident it was around 03 or 04 a believe he worked at hardees north I can't rember is last name though.
His name was Donny Rommel. He was 17 I think. He lived about a mile from Oak Briar off of W highway. The boy liked going fast. He liked dirt bikes and go-carts. If anyone knows W highway, they know it can be fun... But it can also be pretty damn mean if you're not familiar with it's curves. He wrecked his Motorcycle on the banks of Black River. He had an incident with another vehicle that threw him from his bike.

2 Things I'll never forget about-----

1. We were in Junior High. I only knew him from the bus at this point and gym class. I had got into an argument with my Dad before the ride to school, about being slow to get ready or something, and ending up having to wear a pair of old tall black Doc Martin boots. Now the problem starts when I'm wearing these TALL boots with shorts... Being in Junior High, I thought the end of the world was coming because I looked absolutely retarded... I had gym class first hour; [Enter Donny Rommel]. After hearing me bitch for half an hour in class about my stupid boots, without knowing me, says, "I'll wear the boots." And the son of a bitch did! Good Kid. I'm sure he would be one hell of a guy if he were around.

2. Donny liked his dirt bike. Us boys down in Briar had our 4-wheelers and off road go-carts.(Yellow and Black. If either of you guys see this post, you'll know who's was who's. And dammit, someone's bike ended up being tied to a rope and thrown in a pond... You sneaky bastards. Anyway.)
The Field..... A place where several learning experiences came about in ways from "Hide and Seek w/ Night-vision" (Very scary, very fun) to lessons about gravity, arrows, and personal stupidity....{That's right Donny, you remember that!!! The 5 of us SHOT THAT ARROW STRAIGHT UP AND RAN!]
.......... Bottom line, Donny, you got run over by the go-cart. And it was funny. You were funny, and your friends knew it. You were fun while we knew you, and I'm sure if you had been given the time to grow up with the rest of us you would have been a great guy. Remember us, because we remember you. And it makes us smile.

I've been gone a long, long time from home. It's shocking the names I have read. I do know that David O'Dell passed away from a brain tumor, Mary Drury, car wreck, Doug Wood, car wreck. Didn't David Salyer pass away in 1978?
Does anybody have info on the following people I knew?
. Janet Kysar '76
. Rhonda King '74
. Richard McBride '77
. Dee Dee Lawson '75
. Norman Hite - he seemed so STRAIGHT! What did he OD on?'76
. Brenda Robinson, class of 76
. Kenny Landreth '77
. Roger Greer (Heather's dad) was a friend of mine.. I feel so sorry for him! Does anybody know what he's up to?
. This Sells person - how old is he? Who was his wife? I'm asking because I knew a girl who was engaged to a Sells, and I hope it's not her!
Janet died of breast cancer and Norman OD'd on cocaine.

She was a very close friend of my brother's. I will never forget getting that call in the middle of the night after that accident and having to go tell my brother. He still remembers her to this day.

Richard McBride died a few years ago. I think he had a heart attack. Mary Drury died the year before she would have graduated in a car accident. Both are from the class of 77. I feel so bad for Paula Drury McBride, Richard's wife and Mary' sister. She has sinced remarried. But not too long after that she lost her daughter Laurel McBride.

Laurel was 24 years old when she died. She was living in Arkansas. Laurel had been in wreck about six months before she died, but I think she died from an accidental overdose.

Maybe we should all offer you OUR congrats....
Afterall, you DID graduate in either 2002 or 2003?
Since that would make you either 23 or 24, you may be a bit young to have lost any classmates yet. Good for you, but classLESS comment...

most of the people listed on here did something stupid to get themselves killed, so good riddance. the ones with cancer were probably fat and ate lots of fast food or smoked or something, so they did it to themselves too. the only ones on here that didn't bring it on themself is... well, i haven't seen one yet. you know it's true, but you'd rather relive a fantasy life where things were simpler, so you memorialize the dead - an easy phenomenon to find in any psychology book - that is, if you can read. I suppose it's easier for you to sit around and cry looking at pictures in a yearbook

my dad is listed on here, he was killed in a plane crash. It wasn't something stupid, and he wasn't smoking something either... things just happen. He didn't bring that on himself. I think this topic is a good one, people that have moved away may not know that someone has died. It doesn't matter how they died, it's a place to list people who have. That is all. Keep your rude, negative, hateful, psychology, mean comments to yourself.
