It has come to my attention that Bob Case the principal of Junior High in Poplar Bluff has been FIRED! All that I can say is FINALLY he got what he deserved! It is about time that the school board stand up to these administrators and teachers that are the partying buddies of our children.
Even if a student is 18 years old, like my daughter, it is not right for people like Mike Ivie the principal of Sr. High and other teachers to party with students and show off their tatoos on the lower part of their backs. This is bordering on molestation and at the very least it is flirtatious behavior and it is no longer acceptable. Kudos to the school board.
It is also my understanding that the First General Baptist church on Main Street asked for his resignation as their pastor as well. Everyone knew that he was a "fake" preacher and at the very least a hypocrit!
Teachers and administrators get ready for a rough ride, your vacation is almost over and I am thrilled that the school board is finally getting rid of the miscreants that plague the Poplar Bluff R-1 schools.
There are people so much worse than Bobby Case out there. I was so happy with how he treated the kids at PBJHS. I know what the situation is and it has nothing at all to do with a child. If you think that all of the teachers and administrators are so bad in this system, put your child somewhere else or do something about this so called "partying". People like you who do nothing but bitch on web sites like TOPIX, rather than telling the school board make me sick.

Is it not possible that he was ready to move on to other things in life. Think about it. The people who work in schools take care of our children for 8 hours a day, nine months out of the year, and then many go home to their own children. The people who work in schools see it all and experience all of the heartache that their students do as well. They deserve our praise and cooperation (there are always exceptions to the rules, but that does not encompass everyone) and the deserve to be praised, because it takes a special person to dedicate their life to educating our children. As for Mr. Case, he has always been a fair, honest man who is not afraid to say when he is wrong. Please consdier that he has touched many lives and that children read this posts all of the time. Don't say things that can destroy a child he has been a positive influence for, please.

Bob Case is a wonderful man but he is only human if the person who claims to go to his church is correct well so what he may have made a mistake he is only human we are all.He was a teacher when I was a kid and a principal to my daughter and a friend to our family and a huge influence on my husband to accept Christ so IF he did slip and fall he can certainly count on our help in any way we can. God bless Bob & Sandy and their children.

He's human. We all screw up sometime or another. He's still a great teacher, principal, and pastor. His problem is between him and his wife. I wish them nothing but the best.

how about the people that were hurt by his actions? sounds to me like he is being pontificated and not being held accountable for whatever it was he did. not trying to be mean, just an observation. i believe in forgiveness, but i also believe that people should be held accountable and suffer the consequences for their actions

It takes 2 to tango (if it involved someone else)...I do think that he is suffering. He has stepped up and taken accountability for his actions (as he always did). When you make mistakes, sometimes they aren't fixed in an hour or so. Let's give him a chance before bashing him. The only person that doesn't make a mistake is a dead one. Don't throw stones in glass houses.

It really doesn't matter what he did, because he is no longer employed by the school system. If he did resign his Church, then he did it out of his own spiritual conviction. For this, he should be applauded. This topic should be dropped and forgotten about. Let the man move on with his life.

Nobody needs to hold him accountable except for his wife. As for everyone else...he doesn't owe them anything. It's not their biz.

Quit posting under my name, masengale. It is Massengil, learn to spell. I wear GLO by JLO...hmmm...someone has "crappy" issues when they have to steal someone else's ID on here. ID theft is a crime dude, and I know how to get your IP address and prosecute. NOT a threat, but a promise, but I'm sure you will take it as a threat since you are a hater, and I am 99.9% sure your real ID is Chas.

you might want to go back and educate yourself on what molestation really is.

Showing a tattoo on the lower part of their back isnít molestation, if it showed crack it could be consider indecent exposure.

I too had Bob Case as a teacher in Jr. High as has my nieces and nephews as a principal. He taught science when I was in Jr. and although I hated the subject, he made it enjoyable and fun. Like some of the other posts said, it may be that he is burned out and wants to make a change in his life. I am really disappointed that people jump so quickly to the negative thinking the absolute worst in people.

I would love to know the "horror stories" that people are talking about in this school system. I believe it's the parents not the school that is causing problems. People don't parent their children like they used to. All schools no matter the size private or public has their problems. I went through the school system from k-12 and never had or saw major problems.

Sure, kids messed up and got into trouble but nothing major or "horrific." Parents, discipline your children make them accountable for their actions. When my kids get into trouble I make them answer that who got into trouble, who is being punished, and who should you be angry with. They answer me, me, me, and I say see the pattern there. You decided to get into trouble, you got caught and punished, and you should be angry at yourself.

When a certain teacher "stripped" a few girls because money was missing....I know one of those girls and her family; she is quiet and never caused a moment's trouble...so her family took her out and homeschooled her. If these were one of your girls, what would you have done?

I admit I would be upset about that and would have wanted to hear all sides to the story. Did this girl associate with the other girls in question? I am not saying that she was guilty but I am saying that no one is perfect and it is unfortunate that this girl had to go through that. I love my children dearly but I can admit that they aren't perfect angels.

A relative of mine worked there many moons ago as a secretary and she saw all the trouble makers come in and more often than not the parents were in complete denial about their kid. Another relative was convinced that her good son was being mistreated by his teacher and that she hated him and was purposefully giving F's. Well, when she actually talked to the teacher it came out that the kid was slacking off all on his own and rushing through not completing assignments.
