Southeast Missouri will soon be a ghost town, all that will be left is farmers and people drawing checks that cannot afford to move.

Things are bad at Gates too, they have been writing up and firing people left and right. Most of it is over little BS. I am nervous!!!!!!

Gates also canceled our Christmas Party, they said it was because they couldn't afford it.

I am so glad my husband and I left town. You probably know my husband, he worked at Gates for 10 years. He still talks to his old friends at Gates, and they say it has gotten really bad. Good luck.

They actually had people standing in front of the building writing people up of firing them for not being at their station 5 min before work.
A lady in the warehouse told Darron she was cold and asked him if they could turn up the heat and he said "follow me" and he took her outside and said " now this is cold, get back to work".
I have already started looking for a new job, just in case.

Hang in there. From what my husband has heard, they are downsizing due to the economy. We moved away from PB because the job situation there is horrible. The cost of living definitely does not match the salary level there. I know a lot of people who financially struggle livng there. We moved and we are so happy and definitely financially happier. We actually don't have to live paycheck to paycheck anymore.

I am happy for you, I would love to move out of this town. If you don't mind me asking what kind of job did your husband tranfer to?
