if you arent prejudiced, the best church to go to is mt. calvary powerhouse. pastor ron webb delivers a touching service everytime and the music part of the service is OFF THE HOOK! you should at least visit at least once. it isnt an all black church anyway, many white people go there also. good luck looking for the church that brings you happiness.

Calvary's Grace Lighthouse is where I go. It is non-denominational; incredible music and awesome preaching. It just opened, I think a year or two ago. You should try it out. It's about a block or so off of Hwy 53 on the corner of Franklin and Cross.

Grace Chrisitian Fellowship!!! Across the highway from the movie theatre. They have a great worship service, youth groups, children service, wednesday night dinner before service, and groups get together sunday evenings in each others home for a recap and discussion on the sunday morning service. They have softball, volleyball teams, and other things to get togather and have fun. Worship starts at 10:30am on Sunday, Dinner at 5:30pm on Wednesday night. Rev. Brian Sharp is awesome, the best church family ever. You don't have to dress up for church come as you are.

Lot of good churches in the area have already been mentioned...
Mt. Calvary is great with pastor webb
Palace of Praise is a great church with pastor miller (and from what you asked this would very close to an AOG church)
From what I hear even the AOG church on the hill across from Mcdonalds is doing better also...
I personally love Palace of Praise and that is where I would be if not for living outta town right now...
Great Preaching
Great Music and Choir
Great Youth & Childrens programs
There is really something for everyone at this church...
But like I said Poplar Bluff is blessed with a lot of good churches
Love my church also

Southside Assembly is a great church. Has upbeat music and Pastor Lemons is a wonderful man. Would do anything for anyone. I went their since I was a baby until I moved away. Ronnie Webb's church is Awesome too but if you like a smaller church, Southside is the way to go.

I love going to Southside, the Pastor is sincere. The people there are so nice. As soon as you walk in the door you can feel the Holy Spririt. Wonderful things happen at that church. Everyone and anyone is welcome there, no matter what your background, color, all is welcome to come and praise the Lord.

we went to Easter service at the big baptist church by the water tower on north westwood. the 11am service has a rock n roll feel to it and has the same sermon as the traditional service. i liked it a lot! they had beepers for the parents that drop their babies off in the nursery. i loved that! that was the first time anyone had watch my son but me or my hubby, he was about 9 months old and that made me feel very comfortable. but my hubby didn't like it as much cus he kept getting the feeling that he was being looked down on cus we aren't "well off". i was too busy singing to pay attention lol.
