I was thinking of all the stores and restaurants that used to be here when I was younger. Does anyone remember any of these? Newberry's, Woolworth, Ben Franklins, Otasco, Disco Mart, Uncle Joes, Jesse's Drive in, Colemans B.B.Q.,Chicken D's, Big K,(not K Mart), Big Star, Sniders Grocery, Gowans, Roths, The Back Pocket. There are many more but can't remember all the names.

Jesse's, Frosties, and Broadway were good eating, places just to name a few. I worked at Burger Chef for a while. Used to spend my Saturdays in downtown PB. Mowed yards to spend it at the neighborhood grocery stores for sodas and junk food and a night at the Jewel theater. Will try to paste a link that should show some of that history.http://www.rootsweb.an cestry.com/~mobutle2/obit/obit 11.html

Are you talking about the grocery store, that the church now owns. I remember they cut it back in size when 60 hyway became a fourlane on east side. Or what about the Donut Shack, I think it was where part of walgreens is now. Sniders IGA original location, I remember Spencers when it was just a drive-up, and The Cow Shed to. The Bowling Alley, Goodyear Tire, and movie house wer all torn down for the new buildings being built now

Does anyone know the name of the ice cream shop that was in the mansion mall? It seems like it was Bresslers 33 flavors but I am not sure. I used to love to go to the mall. They should have rebuilt it after it burned.
