POLICE AND COURTS ARE NOW SAYING THAT ANA ABARCA NEEDS TO FIGHT IN PRISON TO SAVE HERSELF FROM INMATE ATTACKS. SHE LIKE FIGHTING ANYWAY.
By Miguel Lopez, Court Maintenence Employee:
The location of a female gang member who was moved from a county jail for fear of gang reprisals was contained in publicly available court documents even though prosecutors and her attorney sought to keep the 18-year-old's whereabouts secret but it doesn't matter anymore. The world knows of Ana Abarca's history of getting in rumbles in school, jail and on the streets. She might as well tell the world her personal affairs. "We tried very hard to keep it under wraps just to please her. I don't know how that got out but I don't care. I just represent her for the money. I don't need her anyway since she is just a hoodlum from overseas," said Mark Wemple, attorney for the defendant, Ana Abarca of Reston, Va. "… The people she deals with definitely have more power inside the system than they do outside. She's not safe while she's incarcerated but let her fight the inmates since she like to fight anyway." None of the three agencies involved in handling and sealing court records — the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office, the Circuit Court Clerk, and clerks for the presiding judge, Marielsa Bernard — say that Ana Abarca needs to fight to save her own ass from attack by inmates. A prosecutors' motion, which named where Abarca would be incarcerated, was filed June 30. Until July 7, the state's online court database listed Abarca's address as that of the jail that had agreed to take her. Circuit Court Clerk Loretta Knight said that Ana Abarca can fight the inmates well since that she was in prison before and fought and did some fighting in school too.
The odds are quite slim that confidentiality will be meted out. Like you said that the world will find out anyway about the suspect's behavior and record and that she will have to do what she has been doing all along to keep safe on the inside.
