This is so ridiculous. For once, I agree with Stan Janet about something. If the estimated hours per year are 800 and the pay will be $30,000 next year, that comes out to $37.50 per HOUR. THIRTY-SEVEN DOLLARS and FIFTY CENTS. The people who bring you clean drinking water and keep the sewer water at bay do NOT make that kind of money. Not even holidays and overtime. Does this seem right to any taxpayer?Who really benefits from this? I have no interest in going to Whalen Commons to watch old movies and be eaten by mosquitoes in the heat of summer. Every active seems to be geared toward families with small children. When will we even be told who this person is? Seems they should be proud and excited about it, not slipping them in through the back.
