You need to do your own homework and compare schools.

You don't need to do any homework, Sue is right, Tupelo is corrupt, and overpriced. Any surrounding town has a better quality of life, than the all American city.

Again do your own homework and you will see. Look at the academic performance and see who is best. Then select a school.

I graduated from Tupelo High School in 95. Although it is a GREAT school for academic studies it is not for other reasons. I moved to Saltillo when my oldest started school to escap the crap at THS. If you are not of money or your family is not of money there is no reason to go to that school unless you want your children subject to theft and assault. It is that plain and simple.

^^This^^ so true, plus the politics and drugs at the school. Not to mention Tupelo in general, the airport/noise, unwanted community projects that cost taxpayers, all the rules on lawn care and where you can park on your property (city actually has a woman riding around looking to fine homeowners), the crooked police dept. so many reasons not to move there.

Don't pay any attention to the extremists. Tupelo is no more or less corrupt than any other city. The education system is on the rebound from a few down years. The new superintendent is top shelf and has the school system on the right track. Surrounding towns line Saltillo or Mooreville et al are fine too but Tupelo's academic standards are generally higher. Whatever you decide, welcome to the area and best of luck.

I'm older than you, more travelled then you and obviously less likely to have emotional responses to comments than you. Other then that, I'm knowledgeable and discerning enough to know dung from shinola. And you sir are NOT shinola.
