Would it be a good thing to stop government in its tracks? Stopping government spending would result in more creative public responses.

Get everyone employed or dependent on the Government, then shutdowns scare those people. Would you put yourself out of a job to prove your not wanted or needed. They steal too much money from us to shut down long term, and bet the tax collector still shows up. Outside of Military, shut this bloated circus down, go home and get real job instead of freeloading off the public.

You can't have your cake and eat it too, as they say. You want the protection of the military, but not the taxes...or any of the other government that goes with it. There's not a way that makes that work...or even make sense. All those of you who want to bitch and whine about the government, go to a country where you're not allowed to talk bad about the government for a week and I promise you'll be begging to come back. Or even better, go to the slums of Chicago or Detroit for a week. Detroit would probably be best since half their police department is laid off. I don't support the current federal administration, but the fact is we have to have government to maintain order and the type of lifestyle that allows every one of you to be online and read and comment in forums such as this one. Without government of some kind the infrastructure that maintains internet connectivity, radio signals, phone service, etc. would fall apart. End of story. Put some more serious thought into what you all would do without those basics and be realistic with yourselves...I bet most of you will be surprised at how horribly and pathetically ill-prepared you really are.

Learned helplessness is a product of public schools.

The tyrant has made the people dependent on government and its handouts. It seems the government has made indentured servants out of the children with student loans.

Without a Government their wouldn't be a reason to bitch and whine, and if you did no one would have to "allow" you to. Your post doesn't make sense. Besides huge difference between this little wanna be shut down and really shutting it down. Half the country works for the Government, that's totally unnecessary, and yes we survived just fine when it didn't, so take your fear mongering back to your government buddies. Just because you have a Government job and can't survive without your Government cheese, doesn't mean the rest of us are helpless.

It seems many problems in cities like Detroit and Chicago are a product of government gangs teaming up with private gangs to fleece the public and enslave them. Perhaps cities are not good ways to live.

They really shut it down, lol. Guess they missed their jobs more than we missed their "service". Did the sky fall?
