City of Tupelo eyes former M&F Bank property
Tupelo Water & Light billing and collection offices will likely relocate in early 2014 to a downtown two-story former bank building at Court and Main streets.

That divides the administrative from the maintenance. It makes for less accountability.

Administrative and maintenance will remain on Front St. This is only about W&L collections, which was already in a separate building anyway.

It makes no sense except that Reed wants more traffic on main street.

Renasant Bank now owns M&F Bank and now has a surplus of buildings with no prospective buyers, With the Bank's connection with Create and CDF the city of Tupelo sees a way to sell the bank's empty building to the working taxpayers of the city. Our council men/women are looking out for the County Club Clique and not the voters who put them in office......... Don't you think?
